pretty good brunch options for a non-veg place - Edit
I have tried several items here on different visits to this and the Annapolis locations. The oatmeal is really good. The pancakes are okay but not as good as the vegan pancakes at Silver Diner! This time I had the vegan breakfast bagel, which was okay but really the highlight were the hash browns. If you are going to brunch with non-veg folks, this is a decent place with a separate vegan menu. Good mimosas too.

Continued Steps Backwards - Edit
Miss Shirley's has taken disappointing and continued steps backwards. A few years ago, Miss Shirley's started expanding their vegan options, even having a separate menu at this point. It's been reduced to vegan/gluten free pancakes, hash browns, grapefruit, and a fruit cup. Grilled items note cross contamination. There is also less knowledge at the restaurant, pancakes came out with butter, despite the vegan order. There are better options for a nice brunch with a mix of vegans and carnivores.

All-around positive experience! - Edit
We were in Baltimore for a conference and we appreciated that Miss Shirley’s was walkable. The wait was less than estimated on a Saturday morning. The process was smooth. Service was quick and friendly. We appreciated the separate vegan menu. Food was tasty and a creative take on vegan breakfast. We sat on the shaded and heated patio with our two pups.

Pricy average food - Edit
The first thing the waiter asked when we sat down was whether we had any allergies or dietary restrictions and the menu is distinctly labeled - I immediately felt seen as a vegetarian with a dairy allergy. The service was quick. The food was decent, but rather pricy.

Solid option in Inner Harbor. - Edit
I went to the location on Pratt St. and they didn’t offer a full/separate vegan menu, but they had four clearly marked vegan options: oatmeal, grapefruit brûlée, salad, and seasonal fruit. However, the B’more Breakfast Bowl is vegan once they remove the eggs and Parmesan. This was delicious! I also got the Bloody Mary. They customized it by subbing pure tomato juice for the Bloody Mary mix, which has oyster juice. I’m hoping to go back later this week for the oatmeal. The prices are super high though. Service was good.

A Great Breakfast Place - Edit
We stopped here for breakfast on our way out of the city and had an amazing breakfast. Miss Shirley’s had a separate vegan menu with lots of yummy options. In addition, this place is huge with plenty of seating inside and out. It will be on our list of go-to places from now on.

It’s Actually Good Though - Edit
It is pricey like a lot of people are saying, but I think there are really great options. There’s an entirely separate vegan menu which makes things easy, and I personally loves that there are options with lots of protein. I’m bothered a lot of the time with vegan meals that don’t have mock meats or some kind of substantial protein but this place has it. And to be fair the food is good, so if you can afford it then I say go for it!

Expensive and Limited Options - Edit
If you're vegan, I really can't recommend this place unless you're willing to drop a lot of money for a limited amount of food. Their vegan options are extremely limited, but the menu is very clearly marked which makes things easy. It's also very expensive.
Read moreI was in just yesterday and got their Cherry Berry Oatmeal ($7 for a bowl - so pretty absurd) and the Sausage and Potato Hash Skillet ($17 which comes in one of those tiny skillets). The skillet was made up of 1-2 shredded potatoes, maybe half a bell pepper, some onions/guac, and 1 apple sage field roast sausage. It was all delicious, but the portions were super tiny and everything was just really overpriced. I just can't recommend this place and doubt I'll be back.

A few vegan options - Edit
Not sure why others mentioned how accommodating they are to vegans. Miss Shirleys participates in vegan restaurant week but their daily offerings don’t give many options for vegans. The food is ok and service depends; sometimes it’s great but other times it lacks.

Accomodating to Vegans - Edit
The first thing we were asked by the waiter was if there were any dietary needs. He showed me the logo for vegan options on the menu, saying that some marked vegetarian could also be made vegan. The food was delicious! Would go again.

Not impressive - Edit
This is definitely not a very vegan friendly spot. Their vegan options are pathetic. I would not come back.

Nice veg options - Edit
Dropped in to check out their brunch, and was pleasantly surprised at the range of vegan options. The main menu clearly labels both vegan and vegetarian options and there is a separate vegan menu (make sure to ask for it). The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. We ordered the vegan ( and gluten free) griddlecakes with fruit and they were delicious - light and moist. They also offer coconut milk for coffee. Will visit again to check out their vegan lunch offerings.
