Vegan/veg cafe with cute decor - Edit
I really wanted to like this cafe and I’ve had this on my list to try. I was left slightly disappointed with the food. It was quite expensive for it was worth. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Delicious Veggie Food in Stylish Setting - Edit
Miranda Cafe is a beautiful place which offers an impressive menu of delicious vegan and vegetarian food with a lovely South American twist. We ordered as much as we could and were impressed with everything that was served. The cafe is clean and stylish with good vibes from the staff and customers. I would be a regular if I lived locally. Very inspiring to see Vegan/Vegetarian places like Miranda getting it really right.

The place looked lovely, not cosy but quite classy. The first interaction was the waitress who was far too much hard work! She needs to know that customers like to be greeted with a smile and that the sullen look does not bode well when paying a higher amount than some places charge for breakfast. The food was adventurous and mostly worked. For example maybe the eggs need to resemble eggs a little more if they are being called eggs or if not maybe call them something different altogether. As I said, I would return if it wasn’t for the experience with the waitress.

Great introduction to Veganism - Edit
I'm not a vegan but I can see why people love this place! The food is colourful, fresh and great portion size. I got the Vegan Shepperd's Pie and also tried the Chargrilled Artichokes. Everything was delicious and the ambient its super cozy.

Very Disappointed - Edit
Based on a recommendation we ordered the vegan Latin American breakfast, which is listed on the menu, which consisted or cornbread 'arepas', mixed beans, scrambled vegan eggs, plantain and guacamole.
Read moreOn placing the order the waitress told us we can have free-range eggs instead of the vegan egg! Why on earth would she do that. We ordered a vegan meal because we are vegan.
When the meal came the cornbread arepas was a solid as a rock and tasteless. I told another waitress so, and asked if I could have ryebread instead - she brought some along , for which we got charged extra 80p.
The scrambled vegan eggs was ok - apparently made from chickpeas - but they would have been better off using tofu or ackee as what they did use shouldn't have been described as vegan egg.
There was a good assortment of vegan cakes, but each one had a very thick icing on it , so I passed on the cake and had a vegan milkshake - sadly this also disappointed as it didn't have much flavour and wasn't very thick.
Pros: The only vegetarian cafe in Crouch End, They have vegan cakes, Staff were reasonably friendly
Cons: Avoid the cornbread 'arepas', avoid the vegan scrambled egg, unhealthy cakes

Good food but disappointing smoothies - Edit
I eat at the cafe quite regularly and it is one of my go-to weekend breakfast spots. While most of the food I've tried is tasty and good quality, they should work on improving some of their drinks. Some friendly advice if ordering smoothies - if room temperature flavoured milk is your idea of a smoothie, by all means, order this. But this is not what I consider a good smoothie to be. Otherwise, eating here is generally a good experience although some of the food can be hit and miss. The chefs should taste more of their menu on a regular basis or ask for feedback from their patrons once in a while.

I visited Miranda Café on a rainy Sunday during lunchtime and found it to be a charming place. The vegan Reuben sandwich I ordered was extraordinary in both looks and taste. I'll be back to try more items from their menu!

Lovely ambiance, staff & food - Edit
I had the full english vegan breakfast. Good portion sizes and great flavours. Loved the decor of the place. The mushrooms were my favourite and the sausages had a surprising spicey concoction. The staff knowledge was also really helpful. Would definitely go back and reccomend.

Had brunch here, great vegan options and incredibly tasty food. Lovely decor & a very relaxed atmosphere. Definicely a must visit for any local vegetarian/vegan, will definitely be returning.

Passionate menu to choose from - Edit
Real service, real food, you have to try the Latin American breakfast! A display of at least 8 all vegan cakes to choose from varying from traditional to innovative rethinking which results in a high fibre moist and yet not too sweet perfection. These people really love food. There is passion in their menu. And portion sizes are huge, you will not leave feeling hungry. Will bring the dogs too next time as they are dog friendly. Almost all vegan, my wish for them is that one day they drop the 'veg' and go all out 100% vegan. So go support them! Thanks for having us!

Had such an amazing meal here recently. The range of food is amazing and the cakes are light and not at all as stodgy as some vegan cakes can be. The beetroot latte was odd but enjoyable (I had two to make sure haha!). The food is inspired by a range of different country's cuisines, which makes the menu very exciting (I had a hard time choosing).

Stylish Vegan Cafè in the Heart of Crouch End - Edit
If Shakespeare was meant to be vegan, he would have certainly ended up at Miranda's, a lovely Cafè in the Heart of picturesque Crouch End, London. Spicy Latin American breakfast and delicious Gluten Free Pancakes are some of the amazing vegan options you enjoy from an incredible menu (which happens to have kids options too). Sooo busy but staff were very friendly and accommodated everyone as best they could. It was a Saturday afternoon and people were queuing to get in. Unfortunately my boyfriend and I found the food a little bland and disappointing but it wouldn’t put me off returning. The cakes look good so maybe next time I’ll just stop for a coffee and cake.

Truly wonderful - Edit
A great find for me as I live in a part of North London awash with Kebab houses. Travelling up to Miranda’s in Crouch End is therefore a very frequent treat. I have been here many times and it is consistently good . The service is great and the owners take a real interest in their customers and I feel welcomed from the moment I step in. They always share their thoughts on any new addition to the menu and they always ask for feedback after. They really care about what they are creating here.

One of the best places to eat in North London for those who are vegan/vegetarian, There is always a great welcome and excellent service. The food is always fresh and tasty, I would recommend the vegan wellington and any of the burgers on the menu, There is also a great selection of fresh vegan cakes which are very had to resist once you see the display cabinet. As you can tell I really recommend this place and have become a regular since it opened

Disappointing - Edit
Really disappointed in this cafe 😞. Apart from the terrible service (the waitress who was waiting my table should not be in the trade), it's the food that is the problem. In short, it really does NOTHING to promote/ encourage veganism. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish...but this line of thinking is making excuses where there should be none. Paying over 10 quid for baked beans from a can,a couple of dry vegan sausages from a packet, a lone tomato when the menu stated tomatoes plural etc etc is just disappointing at best, unacceptable at worst. It is unacceptable these days to not expect chefs to actually COOK. Ie. Not open a can/ packet and heat the contents. Every chef in the Mediterranean,Asia etc. manages to actually cook..no matter how basic the establishment. Why is it the exception rather than the norm in the UK? It's pure laziness. How hard is it to soak some beans and make a tomato sauce? In the med they manage it. Why not London? Anyway, in no shape or form is this cafe going to get any non-vegans excited about eating vegan food. And as a vegan, I expect more than food from a supermarket reheated. Definitely not recommending to friends. When the kitchen takes the easy way out, it shows.
