Too much salt - Edit
Many reviews complain about slowly staff which is pushing for tip. I can not confirm this. The staff was not pushy, very friendly and it took them 20 minutes for the Labneh what seems ok.
Read moreI never tried Labneh before and read they offer a great one so i tried it. Unfortunately it was way, way too much salt. Do not get me wrong, i usually use lots of salt when cooking, more than most people, but this was too much and unfortunately i could not finish the meal. I do not know if it is always like this but i won't try again. Sorry :/

Very nice place located in a quiet neighborhood aside from the main streets. Lots of tables indoor and outdoor, a bit slow but friendly service, delicioussss food. Would love to come back!

A lot of things on the menu I find myself thinking “I could have made this at home, tastier, and for a lot less,” which is not a fun feeling. The michaela sandwich, the cheese and beet salad, the pasta, the burger… just to name a few… the cookies…
Read moreBut I go here specifically for certain dishes and they always hit the spot. Michelangelo has the best cashew labaneh in TLV I think. And their onion leek boreka is the stuff of hungry daydreams. The cafe itself is an excellent place to sit, chat, study, hang out. Excellent environment!

Just everything tastes great i had the kebab. Sooo yumm but just 2 pieces?! 3 would be gread. If you are really hungry, its not enough.

I loved my visit at Michelangelo Cafe. The waiter and waitress were very kind. The food was delicious and the portions big. I liked the golden turmeric latte with lemon zest on top. I would def recommend checking out this place! #Veganuary

We stopped here for a coffee and maybe cake during an afternoon walk in Jaffa, but ended up eating a second lunch as the menu had some very exciting dishes that we couldn't resist. We had the 8 hour cabbage and the roasted kohlrabi, both were excellent, especially the cabbage.

Super casual and relaxed atmosphere for delicious vegan food! I had Jaffa’s Breakfast - costing of an omelette, salad, bread and multiple dips to sample. The spelt bread was so incredibly fresh and the array of tasty dips were a huge highlight for me. Bonus treat reminded me of a dense, chewy doughnut. Right around the corner from my hotel and it’s going to be hard to branch out during my time in Tel Aviv with this go-to option so close by.

Really enjoyed brunch at michelangelo cafe, not just to be out post-covid but also because of the great food. We ordered the shakshuka (absolutely great tomato sauce with special vegan egg-substitute) and scrambled eggs breakfast.

This cafe is wonderful. We came here several times we liked it so much. The Spinach Cigars with Cashew cheese and Tzatziki were delicious, and the Mushroom Kebabs w Freekeh and charred tomatoes is divine. The freekeh is like a delicious risotto almost. The Cauliflower patties and Jaffa Breakfast were also super yummy. Love this place.

Great vegan restaurant off the beaten track in Jaffa - Edit
Followed happy cow recommendations to find this restaurant just outside the centre of Jaffa. Followed google maps to locate this Rustic feeling place. I was welcomed by very friendly staff who were attentive and helpful throughout. I enjoyed the scrambled tofu sandwich and followed this up with tahini balls with caramelised banana smothered in hot chocolate which was delicious. Glad I made the effort to eat in Michelangelo’s - great wee find!

I had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Michaelangelo this evening, and had a great experience that I would recommend to all. The decor is quite homey, and the wait staff made me feel very much at home. I had a glass of red wine whose taste far exceeded my expectations. For a starter, I had the cauliflower cakes which were exceedingly delicious, and for the main dish, I had the kale and quinoa bowl, which was also amazing! Highly recommended for vegans and anyone who wants fresh and healthy food.

I visited the place for my birthday (it is recommended to book table in advance otherwise there is only room at the bar).
Read moreWe ordered the kebab skewers which were amazing, they came on a freaky bed, excellent seasoning and incredible tahini on top, plus we ordered the mushroom risotto which was a bit bland and also a juicy asparagus salad with green beans and other vegetables that came with a smoked eggplant sauce.
we also took the ginger and agave drink that was so refreshing and tasty
For dessert, the bartender suggested that we take the lemon pie, I am usually not a big fan of lemon pie but it tasted nice and my meal companion enjoyed it even more as a lemon pie lover. The atmosphere in the place is relaxed and peaceful and also the service was lovely.
Pros: lots of vegan option, kebab skewers are amazing, great ginger and agave drink
Cons: bit expensive, not a lot of sitting tables
