No complaints, no surprises - Edit
Having eating a fair amount of Vietnamese food, especially in Germany, I specifically asked for a dish that would be more Laotian, and less predictable. Much like when visiting Khmer in Copenhagen (a Cambodian one), I didn't feel like I was treading new ground. Then again, it might be because I'm not well-versed in those cuisines. Be it as it may, I thought the dish, a tofu steak wrapped in panko with lemongrass marinade and soy-ginger sauce, did the trick. I was pleased enough to also order dessert, which was satisfactory too. Service was quick and friendly, and they even helped me figure out some information about a train, as my German is almost nonexistent.
Read moreOn a different (an outrageous!) note, I saw staff handling straws, which of course were of the current, non-plastic type. However, they were all being taken out of individual wrappers which presumably were made of plastic themselves! Not sure if I should blame Mémoires D'Indochine or the usual scapegoats, "bureaucrats in Brussels".. but it was a shocking sight anyway.

Delicious food with vegan options - Edit
Food was delicious and the menu had two pages just for vegan options. One for entrées and one for main dishes. Vegan deserts have no extra page but are marked in the regular desert page.

There are many options there to choose from and all of them are really tasty. The Tofu ist amazing and I‘ve been there several times. It‘s located near the warer tower and the interior and location is very nice

Große vegane Auswahl und immer lecker! Es gibt zwei Mémoires D‘indochine Restaurants in Mannheim. Die Karte weicht ein bisschen ab, aber beide sind sehr zu empfehlen!

Schönes Ambiente, tolle vegane Nachtische! - Edit
Etwas teuer, aber falls man mal etwas Besonderes möchte, durchaus zu empfehlen. Viele vegetarische Gerichte, eine eigene vegane Karte gibt es und 2 vegane Desserts, die wirklich etwas Besonderes sind, das ich so sonst noch nie gesehen habe.

Außer ein paar Kleinigkeiten im Servicebereich die optimiert werden können lieb ich es dort essen zu gehen. Sie haben nicht ganz das gleiche vegane Angebot wie bei C1, aber trotzdem genug zur Auswahl.

Second location, same great food! - Edit
This is the new location of Mémoires, and the food is of course as great as in their first location! Plus, this place is bigger than the other one. Still, you should probably call in advance and make a reservation, because they're super popular.
