great - Edit
No complaints from myself and the group I was with. Not the cheapest going around but certainly not expensive. Totally worth it when new Belgrade.

Good food, funky decor, OK service - Edit
I ate here three times over last 4 days. Food is good but not always consistent (e.g. today Rajastani curry was little too salty). Service is attentive and welcoming with smile, desserts are excellent.

Concept Restaurant - Edit
This place is something you don't see everyday. The friendly owner turn a boutique into a restaurant. Risky but great outcome. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing night. I'll come again

Delicious food in heart of Belgrade - Edit
We had amazing food here in funky vintage store atmosphere. The mixed veg and vegan options with international and national twists. This is not a vegan restaurant you are going to leave hungry. They also have a very nice beer selection and lots of lots of teas. We were too full to have desert but they looked amazing. If I live in Belgrade Imwould be here everyday!
Read morePros: Expansive menu, Great vintage furniture, Very friendly staff
Cons: The rock classics sound track! , Too much to choose from..., To full to try desert

A good choice.... just not as good as Mandala - Edit
It's very good, the vibe is great, the decor is unique and interesting. The staff were great, my waiter spoke perfect English and was very friendly. I had the chips and mushrooms starter, which was basically exactly as described, and how I would make it myself at home - thrown in a pan, fried, then thrown in a bowl with some ketchup. My main course was the Serbian special, a pepper stuffed with some sort of cottage cheese, then battered and deep-fried - delicious. With some kebab type things that could easily pass as meat kebabs - quite nice. And some fairly stale bread - not so nice. But overall I enjoyed it, and would have gone again.
Read moreHad I written this review yesterday it would read better. But if you carry on down the side street past the building works you'll find Mandala, where I went today. And that's really top-drawer veggie dining, as good as you'll find anywhere. And to that, Mayka doesn't really compare.
Pros: Nice vibe, Good atmosphere, Decent food
Cons: Fairly rudimentary cookery skills on display, Why go here, when Mandala is 50 metres away?

A+ food - Edit
Vegetarian restaurant with plenty of clearly marked vegan options. The vegan burgers are tasty and the vegan brownie (actually more of an orange chocolate self-saucing pudding) is amazing. Staff are really friendly and prices are on-par for restaurants in the area.

Odd - Edit
Location, interior and food are all very nice, kinda expensive for relatively small potions, but good. however our server was quite weird and cold. A man, who i suppose, is the owner kept asking my sister and i very weird and intrusive questions, started with asking us whether we're vegetarian or vegan (which is fine!) but then ended up asking about our exact diet plans and made really uncomfortable comments about my weight, kept on asking whether i exercise, how much, how often, and other really weird questions.. he kept returning to talk to us, in a very odd way. probably wouldn't return

Loud with tasty juice - Edit
Honestly we found the music a bit loud and the food a bit bland (I ordered the Serbian touch meal - tempeh sausages) but the coffee is fine and the Granada juice was delicious. I would go back to try something else if I stayed longer but I wouldn't order the Serbian touch again.

Jeesus... - Edit
So, I ordered take away food, the food was great but unfortunately the dose was very very very tiny. Not even for a babyborn was suitable. So improve your doses in order to get better.

4 thumbs down! - Edit
we ordered the 3 vegan dishes and they were awful, tasteless and raw. the Thai special was overcooked bland rice only with 3 Vegetables. the 2nd one was the goulash, i never seen someone distorting this dish like that, it was pasta with gravy not at all as described. the last dish was Samosa, the pees in it were raw and tasteless and the dew was like plastic. don't waist your time and money on this 'restaurant' and go to the market buy ingredients and make better food at home. my cats could make better food then them

I had the Thai special and the samosas, I didn't get the spring rolls that said would come with the Thai special, and the samosas were a bit doughy, but it was still super tasty and I will probably go back to try some other dishes.

delicious and eclectic vegetarian food - Edit
There is an eclectic range of options on the menu, from Balkan versions of Indian and Thai dishes to vegan kebabs and goulash. I went there with a non-vegetarian friend. I ordered the seitan goulash and he got the Thai curry. Both dishes were delicious, though the Thai curry looked quite different from what you would normally associate with that term. The food is all vegetarian and there are many explicitly labelled vegan options. Additionally several dishes can be made vegan upon request. There are also many nice salads, smoothies and desserts. The furniture and interior decoration could be improved.

Very nice! - Edit
Me and my twin did an interail and even though I'm now a vegan I was then a vegetarian! We had a vegetarian pizza and it was very good! We were travelling on a budget so we ordered only one pizza for both of us and I guess they were surprised xD they were very kind and in the end they asked where were we from (Portugal) and reacted very nicely :)

STOP SMOKING IN VEGGIE RESTAURANTS - Edit
STOP SMOKING IN VEGGIE RESTAURANTS
Read moreMayka is wonderful vegetarian food. Some of the best we have eaten anywhere on the globe.
Over the last few nights were were there. Dan the waiter was terrific. Last night the restaurant was empty and a couple of people were there smoking. I explained to Dan that to us a veggie restaurant is about eating well and healthy, why not have the smokers simply have their coffee and smokes outside? Very politely he said, "That is not possible."
We did a takeaway. This incredible beautiful delicious food, and the place smells of cigarette smoke. OTHER RESTAURANTS IN BELGRADE, NOT MANY, DO MOVE THE SMOKERS OUTSIDE and there are separate sections
I do NOT like to impose my predilections on others, but this incredible veggie restaurant could be truly fabulous if you asked the smokers to eat outside.
Please make your veggie restaurant truly healthy and delicious, get the smokers to smoke outside!
The culture of smoking in Belgrade is as dense as smog in Delhi. We sit outside of Jazz clubs and listen through the window. We don't eat inside of most restaurants because of smoking. This is like the USA was 40 years ago! Time for the Marlboro Man to ride off into the sunset!
Pros: Fabulous very creative veggie food!!! , Delicious, Staff very friendly, passable English.
Cons: STOP SMOKING INSIDE!, Music too loud, but they turn it down a wee bit.
