Rude - Edit
I have scrolled down and found that people have been commenting on the service quality based on who they were served by. Those who are served by "an old guy" without an exception are shocked by how rude (some call him weird) he was (since at least 2017). So was I. I don't think I have ever met such a rude waiter to be honest. Our group tried not to let him ruin our mood since we were in high spirits but since I picked the place as the only vegan, I felt very guilty for dragging them there and embarrassed on his behalf. I will not comment on the food, but I will just say if it was the best I have ever had, no force could ever drag me to a place with that man serving. I actually thought about this a lot, as we were being basically scolded by him, if he was just very unhappy that day, who knows what people are going through etc. But then I came to see the comments, and it seems he has been scolding people for years. I'm just sorry about the experience.

Read moreThe food is tasty and home cooked - not refined or high class, but delicious home-made sauces and perfectly dressed salads. Also, home-made vegan cheese, falafel and seitan.
The restaurant is quirky with a vintage/retro/distopian style (scaffolding meets dried flowers and fruit bowls!), and the staff are genuinely lovely. They obviously appreciated our custom and were determined to make sure we were happy!
Pros: Home-made tahini (OMG!), Great local beers and wine, Friendly service and cat
Cons: Not enough bread for mezze., Could smell smoke downstairs in none smoking area., Seitan not like UK, delicious but crispy and dry.

A crazy place - Edit
It is a bit of crazy experience in this restaurant. The interior is full with things and the first floor is built in with scaffold. It is an interesting lovely ambiance.

The staff was friendly and helpful in the beginning, but then ignored me. I tried for a while to order dessert, but could not get the attention. After a good while I went to the counter to pay and still had to stand in the way to get any attention.
Pros: Interesting atmosphere, Good food and drink
Cons: Staff could give a bit more attention, The drinks are not on the menu, no price given., At the upper end of the valid price range.

They call it „slow food“ - we were there around 7:30pm and didn‘t have to wait long for outstanding and delicious food!
Read moreYou have to try the must-have mezze with tartar sauce, it’s sooo good!! Leave room for dessert, you don’t want to miss the brownie! The staff was very nice. Unfortunately the restaurant cat did not care about us, although she looked so fluffy on her throne.

I had the Seitan Box and my friend had the TomTom wrap and both was really good. We also talked to the owner and she was very kind and sweet. Rather pricey for Belgrade though.

Choice of some Serbian grill dishes and some curries. We tried the former. Super. Serbian salad also excellent. Quirky interior but the outside terrace is also ideal for people watching. Friendly service.

Situated in one of the more quiet backstreets you find Mayka. Lovely restaurant with a mainly vegan menu with a lot of options. We sat at their nice outdoor seating and had a fat boy burger, seitan box and a salad and falafel nuggets for starters. All fresh and well tasting. Fully recommend paying Mayka a visit.

The owner and staff are so lovely and welcoming and the food is delicious - fresh and so yummy. The seitan sausages were chef's kiss - SO good! The restaurant itself is adorable and full of comfy chairs and unique tables and other pieces - you can tell the owners took their time picking out everything in there. Highly recommended!

The food was strange: i had a seitan plate, salad, dessert and a tropical lemonade.
The potato in seitan plate was one of the best i ever had, but the amount (too much) of mock meat, its quality and taste is frustrating. Without garden salad it would be impossible to consume it.
The dessert - shrikhand, is just a milk with jam, nothing else.
The drink was bland and watery.
And at the end, the waiter dropped the pos terminal and told me that now i can pay only with cash. I think the terminal was broken before the fall.

Best Veg Food in the White City - Edit
Funky decor, crusty old rocker owner, just off Kneza Mihailova... what's not to love? Best of all, the food is excellent. I've tried virtually everything on the menu in the many years I've been coming to Belgrade and loved it all. I'd especially recommend the Seitan Box, but everything is good. When the weather is fine--quite a lot of the time in Belgrade--you can sit outside, too, and watch the city's fascinating life walk by.

Awesome vegan food - Edit
I always like to come here for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent, there is a lot of choices, and the flavours are rich and unique. Location is in the heart of the city, but the street is not overcrowded and it's pleasent to sit in the garden. Service is great, I always get good recommendations. Also, I often bring friends who are not vegan/vegetarian and they all absolutely love it!

Tasty vegan burgers and nuggets, everything tasted very fresh and wasn’t oily at all. The owner was very friendly and gave us a lovely dessert after the meal. We also really liked the cat sleeping next to our table.

Excellent food in one word - Edit
This was our go to place when we were in Belgrade. You cannot go wrong with anything you order there. The food was of very high quality. Also they have a nice selection of cocktails and alcohol.

The inside of this place is just covered head to toe in the coolest trinkets and decorations, I enjoyed the homeliness of it. The food was okay, but a little dry and overpriced. I appreciate how everything is homemade though:)
