Lovely atmosphere and fantastic food - Edit
I went for lunch on a Friday, unlike the listing description it was a la carte rather than a fixed menu.

Food was fantastic, and there was even a board showing the supplier and location of their ingredients.
Highly recommended, and I'd love to come back again.

A gem of a restaurant - Edit
Great attention to details from the choice of decor to the sublime dishes served. We were blown away by the imaginative menu. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had the best time, sat in the beautiful Marseille sunshine eating, probably the best vegan meal I've ever had! Thank you Mauvaise Herbe! Mission accomplished!

Amazing food and service! - Edit
I had the carottes and also the aubergine (see attached menu for details). Both were excellent! For dessert I had the biscuit amande and it was absolutely amazing! And the café Viennese was great as well! (I would give it more than five stars if that was an option.)

The menu consist of small tasty dishes that are savoured best in company, sharing an artichoke, the vegan mozzarella, the beet salad with hummus. Our family enjoyed a lunch at this friendly, recently opened restaurant, and found the food to our liking. Our children especially enjoyed the desserts, the crumble pie, the pavlova and the cheesecake. Would recommend going there for lunchtime in Marseille.

I've been twice and this is already in the top 3 of my favourite vegan restaurants in Marseille. The menu has some classics but also more creative proposals, with unexpected mixes or uses of vegetables (and fruits), which actually work very well.
Read moreThe first time I found the sweets OK and was mostly amazed by the savoury plates. The 2nd time the vegetable-based plates were still amazing and so were the two sweets we took (cheesecake and pavlova).
It's clear that the cooks really know their stuff and are very skilled at working with vegetables and making them shine thanks to careful preparation, creative associations and excellent seasoning. This is exactly the kind of cuisine I like.
They have a nice terrace in a lively street, and the staff is super nice and friendly. Be aware that the sizes of the sharing plates vary quite a lot - some are small, others are more filling - so you might want to inquire before ordering.
Pros: Delicious and creative, Seasonal and local, Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Perhaps a bit pricy?
