Marugame Udon has several restaurants across London. There are several vegan options, which are clearly labelled (including udon, tempura, rice bowls...).

Tasty, fresh and good value! - Edit
Marugame Udon has lots of branches (mostly in London, and they are growing rapidly). The food is fresh (you can see them making the udon noodles in store), tasty and the prices are good value.
Read moreThis time we went for the Vegan Katsu Veganuary Special in a small size. It came with a Pumpkin Croquette, Katsu sauce and udon noodles. They also have a topping station with free toppings and we added spring onion and crispy tempura pieces. The meal was tasty and satisfying! The pumpkin croquette was delicious with a crisp coating and the udon noodles had a nice bite. It also came with plenty of Katsu sauce which was thick, rich and very tasty.

Marugame Udon - Edit
This location is inside the same building as the Kensington High Street tube stop and is surprisingly spacious. Now I'm spoiled for choice between Wasabi and Marugame in the same space! Marugame Udon are a chain offering huge value/quality. The creamy vegan udon is excellent. I plan to try the sticky yaki tofu udon next given the protein boost. I really appreciate this chain continuing to expand their menu with tasty vegan options! You can't go wrong here. Tip: Pop by Japan House just outside the station for a delicious and authentic matcha latte after your meal.

Fantastic vegan Japanese options - Edit
I love a bargain and at this chain they’re offering a free udon up to £5.95 for February. They even have Veganuary specials still on the menu like pumpkin katsu curry udon which was fab. I love all the different tempura options too like courgette, sweet potato, pumpkins, kakiage, nori, etc. You can substitute rice for the udon if you prefer. There are different size bowls and the small one was super filling which surprised me.
