Good value, quick and tasty - Edit
Marugame is great if you're looking for a quick meal that's filling, tasty and good value!
Read moreThis branch is located directly opposite Charing Cross Station and has lots of space to sit and eat in. You grab a tray and cutlery and then you move along picking what you want such as rice or noodles, dish size and add-ons including drinks and tempura. You can see them making the udon fresh as well!
This time we went for the Large Pumpkin Katsu Udon. The portion was huge with two bundles of udon and three pumpkin korokke! The only negative to note at this point was that when our Katsu sauce was added to our dish it was done carelessly and the sauce did slop into other pots of sauce. So if you are concerned about cross-contamination I would be wary.
My dish was very tasty and the udon was nice and fresh and chewy. I also got a Veg Gyoza which again was very nice and flavoursome.
They also have a self serve station where you can add a range of different toppings which are all vegan such as spring onion, crispy tempura pieces and ginger.
It's also worth joining their free loyalty scheme so you can get free tempura, bowls etc if you come more often!

Lots of options - Edit
I had the pumpkin katsu with udon noodles and it was delicious. I went for the large as the price was just a tiny bit more and the portion was very substantial. They even brought round some donuts to try for free!
