The vegan fish and chips tasted awful (soggy fries, dry and tasteless fish, not enough remoulade). The staff were very unfriendly.

The Vegan Fish and Chips was just deep frying convenience products and fries. The „fish“ was completely different to the usual one, a simple convenience product, and the fries were not even crispy. The sauce was also less. All in all definitely too less for roughly 18 pounds(!).

The vegan fish and chips were tasty and a great portion. I suspect this spot is a bit of a tourist trap, it was quite expensive and totally full. If you’re okay paying a lot more than the food is worth and want a traditional UK meal, still worth your while.

I went to Hobsons on New years eve and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in London! As a celiac, seeing a menu with plenty of gluten free options made me very happy. The staff was very polite, attentive, and seemed to have knowledge of the menu. The food was delicious and I will be recommending to more friends

Proper fish and chips done right. Lovely crispy batter, fresh flaky fish, and golden chips cooked just how they should be. Not greasy at all, with generous portions and great value for money. Friendly staff, quick service even when busy, and a clean, relaxed, traditional chippy vibe.

It was ok, but I think I prefer tofish, as a fish alternative. Or perhaps this one could have been done a bit better. The batter was a bit dry. The chips were good tho and so was the curry sauce!

The staff was really lovely, and I appreciate that they offer a vegan fish and chips option. My “fish” was a bit dry and bland, so not quite my favourite, but it’s still nice to see places experimenting with vegan versions of classic dishes. 🌱

Went here on a day when there was a festival and it was crowded. We had the vegan fish and chips and a side of mashed peas. My husband felt this was the best vegan fish and chips in London. Mashed peas were very flavorful as well. Server was a little lost on vegan options but overall this was a good experience.

The vegan fish was quite good, and the chips were absolutely perfect. The vegan tartar sauce was extremely good. They also had a couple other vegan options in the menu other than the vegan fish and chips. I recommend this place!

I was told the same is done at Hobson's. There should be a disclaimer so people can make up their own mind.
Even my mum who isn't a vegan was cross.

Das einzige vegane Gericht auf der Karte ist Fish and Chips, aber deswegen waren wir auch dort. Die Portionsgröße ist angemessen, der Fischersatz ist lecker und das Personal ist nett. Das Ambiente entspricht eher einem Imbiss, aber auch das wussten wir davor. Es gibt viele Plätze und saubere Toiletten. Alles in allem würde ich nochmal hingehen.

Thankfully we asked. "Vegan" items are cooked in same oil as fish! Hard pressed to consider this Vegan enough to advertise on the side of the shop. We moved on to Mildred's.
