Instant Ramen Disappoints - Edit
I visited Maru Kimbap recently after hearing some buzz about their quick Korean meals. The place has a casual, no-fuss vibe, and the service was friendly and efficient.
Read moreHowever, I was a bit disappointed to see that the ramen was instant. I watched it being prepared, and it was clearly the packet kind—just boiled and served with minimal garnish. While I understand this is common in some budget-friendly Korean eateries, I expected something a little more house-made.

Our best korean restaurant for now - Edit
We ordered two Kimbab, bibimpab and rice cakes in spicy sauce. Everything was really tasty, freshly made in front of us and quickly served. We wish we could order more but we were so full. The owner is a nice woman who can speak english. The atmosphere is also nice, with an outside terrace with fans.

Another average restaurant - Edit
I got the rice cakes, dumplings and fish stick in broth. Everything lacked salt/flavor. Nice if you need a place to snack though.

Korean dishes! - Edit
Loved that this had the items I’ve been looking for in the food stands and restaurants but all in one place and vegan. It was a little tricky to find at first with the maps but once you walk into the little pathway, you will find it. Or just walk around the perimeter.

Street food with great prices! - Edit
This is a street food stall with a couple of benches just outside. The staff were lovely and recommended a few dishes for us. The meal came out really quickly and was quite cheap. The food just wasn’t to our taste and flavour.

Tasty Vegan Korean streetfood - Edit
The place is small and the seating is outdoors, so it suits perfectly if you wish to get a Korean Street-food experience. The dishes are tasty and the staff is friendly. They even let us buy our own drinks from a convenience store nearby as they did not have diet cola.

Authentic Korean Food - Edit
We’ve found vegan food quite hard to come by in Seoul without good planning, so we really enjoyed our lunch here to try some Korean classics. The gimbap was very tasty, the bibimbap was good too, but we enjoyed the gimbap more.

Tasty Korean Cuisine - Edit
Small snack bar with Korean food. We enjoyed the gimbap the most. The bibimbap is okay, the fried dumplings a bit too intense for our liking. The lemon juice is simply a mixture of lemonade and lemon juice. Affordable, kind staff and tasty!

Tasty and healthy - Edit
I loved that my meal was wholesome with the right amount of oil and salt. The tofu Kimbap and the rice cake and dumpling soup were very tasty. I also had the Ramen which tasted like it was made from an instant noodle packet.

Delicious vegan gimbap and speedy service - Edit
We arrived about 10 minutes before closing (7:30pm) but the mother-daughter duo were kind to serve us. Speedy service. They were very welcoming and friendly. There’s conveniently an English version of the menu.
Read moreThere’s very limited seatings (2 small tables indoors and 2 slightly larger tables with bench eating in a covered outdoors area. The benches were heated and the tables have additional heaters available for use. Even though we were the last ones to arrive and the owners were likely waiting on us to finish our meal before closing, they didn’t rush us at all.
Ordered three items:
- Fried dumplings (5 pieces): absolutely delicious; our favorite dish of this meal
- Fried Tofu Gimbap (10 pieces): really enjoyed this authentic vegan Korean dish
- Ramen: tasty with a bit of a kick to it; wish there were more noodles in proportion to the broth
We came hungry but the combination of two main dishes and a side dish left us feeling very full, and all for a very affordable price!
Side note: apparently “kimbap” is the romanized pronunciation of “gimbap” but they are ultimately the same.

To find the restaurant you need to walk further into the area outside/beneath the shopping mall. Or, you can access it from the convenience store as its located behind/in front of that.
There is limited seating mostly outside or inside a walkway/corridor area. They have portable heaters if you are cold.
Pros: Value for money, Authentic Korean food
Cons: Limited seating

Cheap and delicious - Edit
The staff spoke great English and the food was really tasty and so cheap you can get multiple dishes. The seating is outdoors but they have a section in a heated tent thing so it's no problem in winter.

Lovely hidden gem - Edit
The chef is very humble and was curious about what I think of the soup and how she could improve! I always want to support small vegan venders like this kind.i had Fried Tofu Gimbap, noodle veg soup with perilla seed. There is always room for improvement though, but I think for the generous size and quality at that price, no complaints! 😋 The Fried Tofu Gimbap is not to be missed, must try! Will recommend!

Read moreThis place has good vibes, the food isn't amazing but the workers are very nice and friendly, very cheap and decent food the ramen was probs my fave though 💀.
Very small place but gives it an almost cozy feel and it makes you feel like it's just a restaurant in Korea that just happens to be vegan giving you an experience of the culture.
