Very disappointed

I was very disappointed with my experience here and I had been really looking forward to it as they have a separate vegan menu with many options. Sadly I should have cancelled my order as soon as the staff member was so confused by it that he came out from behind the counter to look at the menu on the wall not once but twice. The other member of staff was just as confused, and they both kept just repeating the word vegan. What came out was stale bread with uncooked onions, unmelted strands of cheese, and a blasting hot hash brown that was probably microwaved. If you do come, definitely do takeaway as the interior was grotty and after sitting down I noticed that the wooden table was literally broken in the middle with jagged slabs. I'm open to trying one of the other locations though as the menu seems so good still.

AMAZING!

There are soo many vegan options which is very rare for a chippy. Such a popular place among vegans in Belfast as it should be. Staff are very knowledgeable about veganism and there is a separate vegan and vegetarian menu. It’s a must to eat here if you live in Belfast

Pros: Separate vegan/vegetarian menu, Sit in and take away, Kind and knowledgeable staff

Ay yi Yippy

Take out style chip shop that has an impressive vegan menu.
Chips not badly done, choice much much MUCH better than your average chippy, reasonably priced and a reasonably fast service time, not a lot to dislike here, just nothing stellar.
Guaranteed vegan in a chip shop - even vegetarian (usually everything is fried in beef dripping i.e. fat 🤢) is a luxury, so worthwhile making a visit.

Pros: Big vegan choice , Reasonable all round

Cons: Single use / disposable plastic fork😒

Real nice

I ordered vegan loaded chips imagining to get one serving and actually got two food comas out of the £8 I paid. Incredibly friendly staff, delicious food. 100% would reccomend.

Amazing, Traditional Chippy Experience

If you’re looking for an authentic chip shop meal then this is your place. Real chippy chip, superb curry, extensive, clearly marked vegan choices, helpful staff and a decent price. Would definitely get five stars if it could.

Will be back!

SO turns out a pasty in Northern Ireland is not what I thought a pasty was (a Cornish pasty), I was imagining a smaller pastry thing so ordered two and thought for £1.60 it’s not going to come with chips so I also ordered chips… Well, I accidentally got almost three meals worth of food, because the pasty is a large fried potatoey patty and it does come with chips! The chips were decent, under salted but okay, and the pasty was really good. Now I know how to order next time 😝

Not great

Onion rings weird. Order wrong. Took ages despite ordering over the phone.

The chippy with best vegan options in town

So happy Maggie Mays opened a dedicated chippy place with some awesome options. We got to try the pastie chip meal with their vegan curry sauce and it was incredible. The pastie was just the way I remember pasties to be like before I went vegan. Not the healthiest food but it was unreal!

Pros: Amazing options for a small chip shop, Finally a vegan pastie in town, Good prices

Cons: No sit in options, just takeaway
