Great beers

This place has a great selection of craft beers, but on the menu you can also find a few vegan and vegetarian options. I tried the hummus with sourdough bread and it tasted really good. They sometimes have seasonal menus which can expand the vegan/vegetarian possibilities.

Expensive plate(!) of soup

I ordered the garlic potato soup, expecting a normal, decent bowl of soup. But what I got was really disappointing: it was more a plate filled with maybe just 10 spoonfuls of soup and still leaving me hungry. So it's most definitely not worth as a main dish.

When I got the receipt, I was charged for extra service costs for both the soup and the Fritz Rhubarb I ordered. I didn't see that mentioned on the menu, so I was unpleasantly surprised by that too. I ended up leaving Madhouse paying 13 euros for a bit of soup and a drink and getting me 10 falafel, hummus and fries as a main at Hummusbar around the corner for 7,50 euros.

Madhouse has a nice and interesting beer menu, though. Plus, the vibe is good, and the people working there were really kind too. But personally, I won't return here.

Pleasant surprise.

Came in here as my husband was looking forward to their beers. The vegan menu was a complete and pleasant surprise. (Not sure if the vegan menu was a guest one). They have what looks like their own more permanent menu with vegan options. I had a bar snack of roast beetroot with walnut, black sesame and fennel and it was phenomenal.

Pros: Surprise vegan options, Really adventurous & intereting food, Nice staff

Cons: Not fully vegan
