Vegan pho is back! - Edit
Update: Vegan pho has been brought back! Owners mentioned it was by popular request, and they also have a spicy noodle soup that’s vegan. Happy to hear it’s made a comeback.

Unfortunately they no longer do vegan pho but don’t seem interested in updating their banner or menu to reflect that. Bahn mi is only vegan with mayo removed, and so it’s quite dry. Isn’t the worst meal in a pinch but generally a bit disappointing.

I was able to get vegan pho recently. I don't know if the Banh Mi can be made vegan. I would ask to see the bread ingredients.

Best Vegan Bahn Mi in San Mateo - Edit
Like the title says, best vegan bahn mi in San Mateo. The lemongrass tofu is satisfying and savory. The jalapeños generally pack a solid punch and the other veggies on the sandwich are fresh and crunchy.
Read moreThe pho is also incredibly good. They make their own mock beef in house and it’s incredibly well-seasoned and a pleasant texture. The pho broth is aromatic makes me wish I had more.

Solid vegan Vietnamese options - Edit
They have several tasty vegan options. My favorite include the bahn mi and the pho. This is a take out only place but they have a few outdoor tables for dining.

We pick up from here once a week. Lemongrass Tofu Bahni Mi is our favorite, along with the Pan-fried Egg Bahn Mi and if we're feeling extra hungry, an order of Lemongrass Tofu Spring roll and Thai Ice Tea.

Not exclusively veggie. I love the lemongrass tofu sandwich here. Unfortunately, they don't carry vegan mayo. Be sure to omit it, if you want the sandwich vegan.
