Good first meal in Hong Kong - Edit
Very happy to have found Lotus Veggie on our first day in Hong Kong. A little worried about what our travel companion would eat as they are non vegetarian. The staff were so lovely and attentive. We ordered spring rolls which were divine. The gourd with curd and a tofu dish which was really nice. Even the non vegetarian ate well. The soups were nice too. Will visit again.

Not bad - Edit
Just popped in for a bit of takeaway to take back to the hotel. Bit cold but still delicious.

Very Local Hong Kong Foo - Edit
My friend said the "Bitter Gourd fried Bean Curd Skin" is a must order, although I don't like bitter gourd, but the the smell of the whole dish is really nice, I have to take a bite, it tastes too much like egg. The second favorite goes to the “Salty Sliced Squid”, it tastes really good that we finished the whole dish immediately 🤣

Food was pretty bland and service was okay - Edit
We ate here since we were hungry and were in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at this joint. The staff was not very helpful or attentive. We ordered a couple of things - everything was bland but food was ample. They gave a free soup - which was really awful and they gave us a free dessert - which was okay - if you like a bean soup for dessert. All in all the meal was average and a little overpriced for what it was.

Veggie Cantonese Food - Edit
I haven't been the biggest fan of Cantonese food but I was thrilled to randomly come across this place that clearly states they are veggie. I ordered some fried noodles with veggie beef which was actually really tasty and not too greasy. The place was busy with locals, young and old, which to me is a good sign. The menu was available in English and the staff spoke English as well. Maybe I'll rethink my assumption that Cantonese food is bland and uninteresting...!

Worth a try. - Edit
It was ok. There are a lot of options for vegans but I was a bit wary of some dishes. Big serves, and a lot of oil! Probably won't go back. But then I could just have ordered the wrong dish. Worth trying.

great food - Edit
The food was delicious! The staff could be a little bit friendlier, it wouldn’t hurt. They charge you for every dish they put next to you, even if you don’t eat it, that was odd and as they don’t speak English at all I couldn’t complain, it was worthless.

Looks good - Edit
I only looked at the menu (since when I passed there I wasn't hungry) - but the menu looks great! There are many traditional Chinese dishes using mock chicken, pork or fish. Sounds very interesting and I'm sorry I missed the opportunity to try them out.

Great experience - Edit
Friendly staff, not much english but enought to place an order.
Read moreThe food was great and they had lots of vegan options too.
This is a great place to try some Asian cuisine in hong kong at an affordable price. We had some spring rolls, potato and mushroom, honey "pork" and sweet and sour "pork" and it was fantastic and tasted almost too real.
They also serves us some soup and tea for starters and finished our meal with some sort of bean sweet soup thing. This was a great experience. If you are vegan just avoid fried rice and anything with cheese and you should be fine🌿
Pros: Lots of vegan options and not too expensive compar
Cons: They do not speak much English

Lotus Vegetarian - Jordan, Hong Kong - Edit
The manager says the use Kraft dairy cheese. He has no idea about cheese being made with slaughtered animal rennet. I've asked him to verify if the cheese is vegetarian with his supplier or the manufacturer. He doesn't seem interested (he has had two months). I'd rate this place as one (or even zero) for that reason if this website would let me.
