At HDB area so it"s more accessible. Top staff service, slight variation from the Novena outlet. Worth visiting the place. Lotus doesnt disappoint.

[SG, Alliums Free Vegetarian/ Vegan Options @lotusvegetarian cafe] First time checking out the cafe and gotta say it has a pretty chill zen ambience, with smoothing chinese songs playing at the background. I am loving the vibe there. What’s more, the food legit good too!
Read moreIt’s definitely a great cozy place to catch up with friends. I had an enjoyable time chit chatting with my beloved gfs @jiakzeh @vegkitchensg over the delicious spread below. (V) are vegan options. For those without, may be customisable hence do check with the staff. My top favourite from each category are Spicy Miso Ramen (comfortable soupy foodie & I likey the thick broth), Iced Oat Cappuccino (the coffee is so good that I finished it in no time- awesome coffee fix before I OT later the night), and Taiwanese chewy sweet potato balls (reminded me of TW 🥰)

Tugged inside Rivercourt, it carries quality food like its main outlet, with some differ menu.
Read moreMala cheese baked potato wedges was good. Do ask them to add more cheese as bottom layer comes without it. Contain dairy though. Good to be shared among 2 paxs.
Vegan mock beef ramen soup was tasty too. And a must order is the steam truffle dumpling.
I find the cheese baked curry rice a bit dry. Small portion.
The signature truffle mushroom soup was so so. Elemen's taste better.
Spicy miso ramen had a strong egg taste although I had removed the egg before eating the rest.
Iced choc drink comes in 1/2 cup!!! So expensive!!!
We waited for 30 mins for our dishes to be served although dumpling was served 10 mins upon order. Needs improvement

Modern Chinese Vegetarian Cafe - Edit
Newly opened allium-free vegetarian cafe in May 2022, by the same group that runs Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant at Royal Square Novena. The decor is beautiful and it seems rather popular (lots of families enjoying meals together and a constant queue outside), so I would recommend making a reservation beforehand.
Read moreApart from a selection of handcrafted dim sum that they are known for at Novena, the other items in the menu are mostly different. They have recently updated the menu with photographs of their signature dishes too! Items with egg and dairy are clearly labelled. (Do note some slight discrepancies from the old menu: Pan-Fried King Oyster Mushroom Bun is now labelled as containing dairy, and Salmoniee Mayo Mustard Croissant is now labelled as containing egg and dairy.)
Ordered a spread of vegan dishes. Pretty impressed with the taste of all the items I ordered! My top picks would be the Jumbo Chilli "Crab" Mantou with Happiee Fishiee Pattiee, Taiwanese Porridge Set, and Sichuan Spicy Wontons in Chili Oil. There is also a small display case of pastries, which contain egg and/or dairy for now. Looking forward to more vegan desserts in the near future!

Call to book before coming down on weekends. Their King Oyster Mushroom Cutlet X.O. Fried Rice was nice, but too much flour used for the cutlet. Could have a bit more wok hei for their food though.
