Healthy simple food - Edit
When I went it was lunch time, and everything available was vegan except one item which was made of egg. You can choose 3 items for lunch, so I just chose the vegan ones.

Terrible lunch for vegans - Edit
Cheap but limited vegan options. Had a lunch and couldn’t finish even three small lunch dishes because they were not tasty.

Simple quick meals in a traditional setting - Edit
Environment: Simple, family-style, old-fashion
Read moreFood: Traditional vegetarian food with no five spices. Their fast-food style set lunch is quick, no-hassle and good value for money. Dinner costs more with the different extra charges but there are more variety to choose from with an eclectic of Chinese, western and other Asian dishes. I visited them when the covid restrictions were not in place yet.
Service: Lunch is self service. Dinner time service is ok.
Price: Low-medium range
Pros: Good portions
Cons: Vegan items not marked clearly

Hard to find, but worth it! - Edit
It’s hard to find because it’s in a commercial building with lots of other restaurants and businesses. Once you go in the door, take the elevator up to the second floor. It was busy but we got a table right away. Highly recommend if you’re looking for vegan/veggie Cantonese food! We tried three dishes and each was amazing. Service was great, our waiter spoke limited English but asked us if we’re vegan! I thought that was so kind. Going back for sure!

Just okay - Edit
I had lunch here by myself and was excited by the reviews and looking forward to it but was a little disappointed. It was fairly hard to find, but once I did, it is a nice atmosphere and very clean. I was there at the peak lunch time and there were very few patrons. My waiter was nice, but we had some difficulty communicating because don't speak Chinese and he didn't speak English very well. I was looking for an advertised $50 lunch special, but couldn't get him to understand that so just ordered off the menu. I had tea, steamed rice and tofu in aged vinegar sauce. Everything was tasty and generous portion but a bit pricey at $138 HKD for what I got.

very pleasant - Edit
Had the fish sticks, fries and tartar sauce, and it was great, I think it was a special, but it was impressive. Really liked the tartar sauce also. Fried tofu and wontons were not bad either.

Lovely Chinese Vegetarian/Vegan Kitchen - Edit
I love this place. They are not only offering very good deal set lunch ($50 for 3 dishes out of 6 soup rice with free refill), the staff there were all very nice. They are attentive, polite and most of all, smile genuinely. I full vegan and I asked about other options during lunch and ordered a la carte. The cashier is very knowledgeable to tell me if my dish is with egg or milk etc. I ordered the steam tofu and it was very tasty. Home food style just like my mom would prepare for me.
Read morePros: very good service, staff are all very polite. , price is very fair. Set lunch is a steal.

Set meal is generally ok, a bit salty and heavy on seasoning for some of the dishes, like braised eggplant.

Great value Chinese lunch! - Edit
I've started visiting this place for lunch. It's very near Wan Chai MTR, as users have commented, past Paisanos etc, into the building and up the lift to 2/F. Fairly easy to find if you follow the instructions.
Read moreThere is a great value set lunch (choose 3 out of 6 daily dishes), with a soup and rice for HKD 45. I think the food is good quality, not oily and tasty. Certainly generous for the price. I've had delicious tofu dishes, aubergine dishes, spring rolls, cucumber dish, beancurd skin, green vegetables, mushroom/fungus combinations. I've enjoyed all the different options. The soup is traditional Chinese on the healthy side (carrots, beans, peanuts).
Downside is that the 6 daily choices are shown on a board at the front where you pay, but there is no English translation. I just select by looking at what other people are eating to figure out what is on offer that day, and then indicating yes or no as the staff pick up ladles of each option, or point (if I can see over the counter). Also, it's quite busy during lunch, but less busy when I go for a late lunch after the crowd.
Would love to try for dinner, where I'm sure the experience would be different with a la carte, rather than cafe fixed menu style.
Pros: Great value lunch set, Tasty and healthy!
Cons: Busy at lunchtime

Good but a bit expensive food in Wan Chai - Edit
It is in the 2F of the building. If you can't find it you can ask the doorman and he will guide you (he told us "no meat" very worried when we told him we were looking for this place). It is quite a bit place and the waiters speak english.
Read moreThe eggplant starter that they gave us was amazing. We also ordered the deep-fried wontons and a fermented bean-curd and eggplant dish that was okay but a bit salty.
We quite liked the restaurant and the food but it is a bit expensive compared with others alternatives that you can find very close by.
Pros: Good location, Nice food
Cons: Expensive

nice food - Edit
The location is a bit tricky to find but not impossible. Be careful which elevator you take as one does not have 2nd floor option. Menu a bit lean with English information. Food was delicious and portions quite large. For the money you pay it is a bargain. The sushi roll is very good. The mock chicken leg is pretty awesome too.

Liza - Edit
Probably one of the best value for money lunch on HK island. 2 remarks though:
Read moreIt would be good to have the dishes translated in English, and it would be even better to have the option to buy side dishes as a complement (like at Art Veggie in Sheung Wan). But all in all the food is good, and the room is large enough not to feel cramped like in so many restaurants in HK.

Excellent Mapo Tofu - Edit
Consistently like this dish anywhere I go in HK, but this place simply does it the best - especially if you like it done spicy. Other dishes are good too, but you may want to go with someone that can help you navigate the menu as the services English is limited. They're cool people outside of that though. Def recommend.

Liza Veggies, Hong Kong - Edit
Either my understanding of Chinese food is worse than I thought or there was some sort of communication breakdown when I ordered my food here last night. I regret to say that one is every bit as likely as the other with me as the culprit. C'est la vie.
Read moreI ordered a satay dish. What I was presented with was big bowl of vegetables and noodles in steaming hot water. 78 HKD which while hardy extortionate, there's certainly less expensive in HK to those on a tight budget.
There's a menu available in English. Items are marked that contain egg and one dish is marked as containing milk.
Perfectly nice service. No issues with the vibe for me (it was a little noisy in case that isn't your thing). Like pretty much all the vego eateries I've been to in this town I'd be happy to go back.
Pros: Vegan friendly
