Excellent food and staff in a lovely building

We went on Christmas Eve so it was incredibly busy but they were able to host us and serve wonderful food with a smile. Big shout out to Leelas, their food is delicious (we ate all the vegan options) and the team were incredibly friendly despite being so busy!

Lovely indian restaurant

indian restaurant with clearly labelled vegan options. We had the tofu paner and tofu masala with vegan mango lassi, was delicious!
You can chose between the spice level (1 to 5), we had level 2 and it was already quite spicy.

Great veggie and vegan options!!

I went for the tofu masala (vegan) and it was one of my favourite meals I’ve had in Norway! So many great vegan and veggie options - cannot recommend enough!

Tasty options

The restaurant has a specific vegan section. I had the tofu masala and it was very tasty. The portions are on the small side, so it’s a bit pricey. Good ambience and central location.

Pros: Tasty food, Nice interior , Good location

Cons: Pricey

Good food, but bizarre business practice

We came here twice about half an hour after they had opened. On the first day, they told us we’d have to wait 30 minutes for the food - we did and we liked it. The second time we came though, they again told us that we‘d have to wait 40 minutes and that they were „open but not open“. It was obvious that the waiter just wanted us to go. So even though the food at this place is quite nice, it‘s just weird to go to a restaurant within their opening hours and not get any food.

Indian food worth trying

Clearly labeled, separate section of the menu for vegan items. We got 3, all were delicious. In a very cute part of the city. Friendly staff. Quaint restaurant. Reasonable prices.

I’ve had better Indian food in my life, but this certainly was a tasty meal/restaurant that I’d recccommend!

Indian meal

Separate section of menu for vegan. Other items are labelled for allergens, so you can see, for example that Roti is vegan (they asked to confirm I didn't want butter with it).
Was also given a half poppadom while waiting for the meal.

Very good food

They have seperate vegetarian and vegan dishes on their menu. Some vegan side dishes and one sort of vegan bread. We had the „Tofu Palak“, the „Tofu Masala“ and as a side dish the „Roti“ bread „Daal Tadka“. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

Pros: staff was very friendly, good quality, hot and fresh food, seperate vegan dishes on the menu

Cons: not that much non alcoholic drinks

Great vegan Menu

I ordered tofu palak ,it was delicious. My partner liked vegan drink ,even bread made was totally vegan.
Great menu with separate section for vegans .
Service people are extra cautious while taking order for vegans to avoid any mistake .
Good luck Leela😊.I am coming again.

Very good indian food but confusing menu!

They have a vegan menu section which is great but unfortunately two dishes were not actually vegan as they used ghee and milk products.

I tried the vegan tofu palak and I asked if it was actually vegan and it was. The food was very tasty and it was served with white rice. I also tried the vegan mango Lassi which is made with coconut cream. It was delicious but very hard to digest.

The staff was very nice but not sure if the vegan dishes were actually vegan but they asked the chef to make sure they were.

Pros: Vegan options, Tasty food, Nice staff

Cons: Confusing menu

Great vegan menu!

I love that they have a separate vegan menu, and that they use tofu as a paneer alternative. You could olso get traditional vegan dishes such as Tadka Dal and Aloo Gobi. I had the palak (spinach) tofu with roti flatbread and indian pickles. My friend had the tofu masala. We also tried the vegan mango lassi. Soo good and such a cozy place. Perfect for date night or a nice dinner with a friend.

Pros: A variety of vegan options, Nice interior
