Small Cafe in a Pinch - Edit
Leaves House is a small cafe near McGill that offers an entirely plant-based menu, down to the sweet and savory pastry options that they provide!
Read moreYou have your usual suspects which include tea lattes and there are a variety of non-dairy milks to choose from, including macadamia and pistachio which makes it extra creamy. I opted for a Lavender Oat Milk Latte and two of their scones, which were the perfect snack. Everything was at a reasonable price as well.
As of May 2024, they weren't serving boba which was a shame since I came here wanting some, but I appreciate the other plant-based options offered anyway.

All vegan cafe - Edit
A little coffee shop surround by ample seating nestled in a McGill College building. Super friendly staff and a lot of vegan baked goods. I visited twice while in town. I didn’t try the coffee but tried a vegetable scone (sort of weird and dry), an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie (good but a little dry) and a croissant (okay but a little dry). Overall worth it if you have a reason to be in the area but not worth traveling to.

Cons: Baked goods are a little dry

Top Rated? Really?!! - Edit
I fail to understand WHY this is listed on HC as one of the "top rated" in Montreal. It's really more of a bland, pop-up-type fast-casual eatery and grocery store someone decided to plop in the middle of a university campus (McGill University) which just happens to be in Downtown Montreal. Yes, it's 100% Vegan. They get 1 star for that, plus 2 stars for the lovely young woman working behind the counter, doing triple duty as barista, cashier and clean-up crew. Other than that, I was truly disappointed with their croissant, which was cold, slightly stale and bland, my hot matcha latte, which wasn't really hot, and the "best" of the worst was Le Wrap Printemps (The Spring Wrap) which was just OK with one ingredient that was way too salty. At least the music wasn't too loud (I suppose because many of their customers are students who camp out there with their laptops studying, writing papers, etc.)
Read morePros: Great that it's 100% Vegan - THEN what?, Customer service
Cons: "Hot" = Warm, 100% Vegan DOESN'T automatically = "Top Rated"

Cute spot - Edit
very charming place, I loved the chocolate croissant and white chocolate chip cookies. The matcha was okay, I enjoy the iced chai latte more. If I lived here it would be a problem bc I’d come every other day

Top vegan cafe - Edit
I had a deliscious flatwhite and a pain au chocolat as well as a veggiepuff. The service was so friendly (asked if I would like to have it warmed). The atmosphere is nice and airy (very high ceiling), lots of space to sit. #Veganuary

Lovely little spot with a nice atmosphere and amazing coffee. I also had a Danish and it was so good- sweet vanilla custard and sour fresh blueberries. A great place to catch a break and unwind, even though it's a bit tight inside.
