I love Lazy Moon - Edit
I love how customizable this place is! I’ve been to the maitland/winter park location a bunch of times and was in the UCF area today so I wanted to try it here! I got the build your own calzone and did vegan cheese (they didn’t charge me extra) and added sautéed mushrooms, basil, and sun dried tomatoes! I think the calzone is best if you really like a “cheesy” vibe because they go light on the vegan cheese on the pizza unless you ask for a lot. Most toppings are under a dollar but there are a few that are $2. I still think this is one of the best places to get a vegan pizza, just be nice to the cashier and communicate how you like your pizza (lots of cheese and toppings) so they can let the kitchen know! I also really like the vegan chili and will order that with a slice for a full meal; the calzone is definitely a full meal and then some!

Large pizza with sparse toppings - Edit
The pizzas are large. When you order specific ingredients they hardly add any of the toppings on top. Also, they add limited vegan pizza. Im not a fan of Lazy Moon. There are much better options, but I had to order here because it was the closest option that was open at 11am on Sunday.

stopped in before closing to check out the vegan options! they offer two vegan options - an uptown slice and a treehugger slice. the treehugger is just a customizable vegan slice, and the uptown one has bbq chicken and onions. they were out of the bbq base so i swapped it for the red sauce for the uptown slice. i enjoyed both of the slices; the vegan cheese isn't gluey and the chicken was pretty good! nice to see that they have options. i'd definitely order a larger vegan pizza here!

It is so great that Lazy Moon offers vegan options. I ordered the Treehugger Slice, choosing sautéed mushrooms and spinach for my toppings. The person staffing the register was great and went to check if the mushrooms where vegan when asked. Their crust and tangy sauce are to die for. If this is your first time to Lazy Moon, be mindful that the slices are HUGE. For my next visit, I'm going to pile on more toppings and try the Hearty Vegan Vegetable soup.

Excellent HUGE PIZZAS 🍕 you can order a 20 inch or 30 inch pizza. Our pizza was so big and filling that we stretched it out for 3 meals and we still have 2 slices left 😅

It was a really good quality pizza with nice sauce and great dough!! Even the crust is absolutely delicious.
We ordered it on Doordash, it was the only vegan food we could order late on a week night. We decided to try it because it had good reviews and it surely did not disappoint! Would order again 👍
They also sell a Vegan Tree Hugger Slice that comes with vegan cheese and 2 toppings. And they have vegan chilli!!

Lazy moon offers a really great vegan chili and a vegan veggie soup. All of the dough is vegan and they offer daiya vegan cheese as an option.
Read moreI guess I was just a bit thrown off guard when I found meat on my pizza that wasn't supposed to be there. It must have slid off of someone else's pizza when they tossed it in the oven. They did give me a gift card to make up for it but I'm not sure I can trust that it won't happen again.
They do seem to care about offering options to vegetarians which is great, but the staff probably needs a lesson in cross contamination.

Another store at Mills/50 - Edit
There's another Lazy Moon downtown at the corner of Hyer and Colonial (Rt. 50). It's less than a block away from Dandelion CommuniTea Cafe which has a much stronger menu, but this place is good for a vegan pizza. Glad they're in the neighborhood.

I love love love this place! They sell vegan pizza by the slice. You can get different toppings on each slice you get. Very reasonably priced. Plus each slice is huge! They're open late and the atmosphere is super chill. If happy cow would let me, I'd give them 5-stars.
