Refined place - Edit
Pricey, elegant place (waiter served, cloth napkins, silverware) that serves creative vegan food. My meal (a tonkatsu sandwich on toastede white bread) was very delicious.

Wanted to Love More - Edit
Came for brunch over the summer. Place was super cute. Not bad at all but wanted to love it more. Got the BEC buns and the tiramisu French toast and a side of brunch potatoes. Buns were good but could have used more flavor. French toast was good but didn’t give much of a tiramisu vibe. Potatoes were cooked perfectly but we didn’t love the garlic aioli.

The matcha tres leches is amazing!! - Edit
Went here for brunch. Had the tiramisu french toast (good tiramisu flavor) and the egg sandwich, delicious breakfast classic. I also had the matcha tres leches - my favorite!! Had maybe a basil syrup? Exquisite!

Vegan Brunch - Edit
Ladybird delivered a great family brunch experience. After clearing up a bit of confusion over a pre-arranged fixed price menu, they hit a home run. Everyone was happy with the shared plates and entrees. Recommended!

Delicious Asian-inspired vegan food - Edit
Was a walk-in for an early dinner on a Tuesday. Plenty of seats available but it started to fill up within an hour. Really cute ambience inside. Kind waitress (although the restaurant was quite understaffed with only 1-2 workers, which meant slow service). Got bitten by a mosquito in the restaurant with the windows/door closed but that may have just been bad luck
Read moreOrdered 3 items:
1. Bao Trio: absolutely delicious!! One better than the next. Surprisingly filling for three buns on the smaller side. One of the bao buns was quite spicy (which we happened to like!). Would absolutely order again
2. Banh Mi Toast (without cilantro): very tasty! A modern take on a banh mi sandwich. It was a little skimpy in terms of portion size—wish there was more!
3. Kimchi Mac & Cheese: my partner really liked this dish but I was not a fan. It had a very faint fake seafood taste that I couldn’t shake. Was a generous portion
Will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!
UPDATE (7/18/25): Went back to Ladybird and it was even better this time! Got the Bao Trio again, which was scrumptious as ever. Then tried 3 new dishes:
1. Kimchi Arancini: Fantastic appetizer! Definitely the best dish of the night
2. General Tso Cauliflower: Very tasty and flavorful cauliflower with a bonus of roasted brussel sprouts
3. Tonkatsu Sandwich: Deceptively very heavy (and we ended up splitting the sandwich, each eating a half). It tasted good but wouldn’t order again.

Amazing dinner + brunch! - Edit
I love the dinner menu at ladybird (I get the kale Caesar salad and Ghia spritz every time and love the new tonkatsu sandwich) but I tried their brunch recently and want to go back asap. I loved the matcha waffles and grilled cheese but want to try more!!

Great tapas for sharing - Edit
What a great experience! The venue is quaint and cozy. Went with friends and split the corn ribs (called ribs bc you eat the off the cobb slices). They were delicious and one order was enough for everyone to enjoy. Also had the avocado over fried rice, watermelon tacos (delicious), and the bao bun sampler. Everything was beautifully prepared and plated and so good! Loves it!

Can’t remember but some sort of aioli cream-like sauce. Didn’t taste watermelon - just the cool freshness. Loved it!

Perfection! - Edit
The 3 dishes I had were absolutely incredible. I highly recommend the trio of bao buns, kimchi Mac and cheese, and the matcha tres leches. The bao buns all had great unique flavor, the Mac was filling, and the tres leche was refreshing. The vibe was very cute in there. Perfect last dinner in NYC!

Lady Bird Vegan: A Flavorful, Creative Plant-Based Dining Experience You Won’t Want to Miss. - Edit
Lady Bird Vegan is a gem. The food is creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The nachos are a standout, loaded with fresh toppings, and the Brussels sprouts are perfectly roasted with a tangy sauce. Their desserts, especially the chocolate mousse and cinnamon rolls, are the perfect indulgence. With a cozy atmosphere and delicious dishes, Lady Bird Vegan is a must-visit for anyone, vegan or not. #Veganuary

Definitely Going Back!! - Edit
All vegan, creative & delicious — this place is quite the find!
Read moreIt’s small — with 8 2-top & 1 4-6 top tables bar, but size does NOT matter here…unless you’re hoping one or two dishes from the Dinner menu is all you need to fill you up — it won’t (if you’re hungry).
BUT the food is beautifully prepared and super tasty!
My gf & I shared our plates — we felt they should have been under “Appetizers” because of the serving sizes.
We started with the Inari Nest — cleverly stuffed fried tofu yuba, sushi rice, pickled daikon and ginger, crispy onions, nori, wasabi, marinated mushroom, eel sauce. Each bite was a wonderfully unfolding bite of flavors. I’ve never had anything like this before, and found myself smiling with glee — truly a special creation. Only negative is that there were only two, and there was cilantro micro greens on top — after telling our server that I’m allergic to it.
Second was the Kimchi Arancini rice and cream cheese croquettes, panko, pickled daikon slaw, spicy aioli. Again, so pleasing to the eye. These 4 little balls were tasty with the spicy aioli. Would have appreciated more of the kimchi.
The Mongolian Broccoli charred leeks, mashed potato, mongolian sauce, cashews, crispy shallot was the only disappointing dish — for us, sweet isn’t our thing. But the other flavors were good.
Finished with the Matcha Tres Leches matcha sponge cake, whipped cream, strawberries, peaches was flavorful yet not too sweet. Loved the sliced strawberries. The cake was quite dense (meaning, heavy to finish the whole thing). Eating from a goblet is a bit awkward.
My gf’s latte was rich with strong chocolate notes. Happy to have oat milk.
Overall, a bit pricey for portions, but you can see how much work goes into these culinary creations — so we thought it was well worth it.
Pros: FOOD & FLAVOR + creativity, Servers
Cons: Portion sizes, Prices

Lovely dinner - Edit
Went here for dinner and everything was really good. There were 3 people in our group so we got one of each of the bao buns, Kim chi Mac n cheese, Banh mi toast, general tso cauliflower, and the kale Caesar salad. It was a decent amount of food and we all shared. Will definitely go back again.

I Love Ladybird! - Edit
LADYBIRD is one of my favorite 100% vegan spots in the city. It has an upscale, elegant-but-fun vibe. The drinks are always great - my go-to is the one simply named LADYBIRD. (Delicious and easy to remember!) The food is always excellent, and they recently overhauled the menu with some incredible Asian-inspired dishes. I went with a friend and tried almost the entire new menu: Watermelon Tacos, the Sweet Thai Bun, Cucumber Salad, Miso-glazed Avocado, Bánh Mì Toast (my favorite), the Hot Udon bowl, the Tonkatsu Sandwich, the Kimchi Mac & Cheese, and the Cherry Yuzu Cheesecake. It’s a very different menu than in the past…but, as always, it is incredibly well done. Ladybird is a perfect date spot, but you can also enjoy it with a group of friends for an upscale occasion. I highly recommend it.

Elevated vegetables!! - Edit
This is the place to go to enjoy creative vegetable dishes. I appreciated the fact that they do not turn plant based foods into meat substitutes.
Read moreThe cocktails and mocktails were really nice and quite different. There was a nice variety of dishes to choose from. Each dish had its own distinct flavors. Our favorites were the watermelon tacos and the general tso’s cauliflower.
The service was excellent at the start of our evening but fell off towards the end. There were only two servers who also doubled as bar tenders to take care of all of the patrons.
Pros: Wonderful ambience, Creative vegetable dishes
Cons: Service fell off as restaurant got busier

Not a terrible restaurant but definitely the least impressive meal while we were there. The decor was beautiful but the atmosphere bizarre - they blasted current pop music too loud. The food was fine but not delicious. The tofu bun was the best bit!
