Delicious food for sharing

Four of us shared a bunch of small plates, and Lord were they delicious. My favorites were the bao trio and the corn ribs, which were not only flavorful but also fun to eat. I also liked the nostalgia and gentle kick of the kimchi mac-and-cheese. The space was soft and inviting, and the music was quiet enough for conversation.

Good not great

I came here with a group of 6 and it was pretty awkward ordering since lots of dishes seemed meant to be shared between 2-3 people, so we had to order multiples of certain things so everyone could share. We tried the bao trio (x 2), inari nest (x 3), kale Caesar, Mongolian broccoli, general tso cauliflower, corn ribs, and kimchi Mac and cheese. The Mongolian broccoli was recommended in a lot of reviews, but it was very sweet and I did not like it at all. The cauliflower was also very sweet. Of the baos, the buffalo mushroom was decent. I didn’t try the others. The Mac and cheese was fine but unremarkable and didn’t have much kimchi. I think the corn ribs and kale Caesar were my favorites. Both very flavorful. I would be open to coming back, but not with such a big group and I would try to find some non-sweet dishes.

Delicious!

The restaurant was very cute— a lot of pink. Our server was nice and attentive. We had the General Tso’s cauliflower w/ brussels sprouts and the kimchi mac and cheese— both were very good! The cauliflower was especially crispy and saucy, so good. I only wish the portions on that dish were a little bigger— everything was pushed to one side of the plate and it made it look like you weren’t getting much.
But everything was great, I’d come back!

Delicious early evening dinner

This was our first time to Ladybird. The design of the place is lovely. Almost garden party vibes with greens and pinks, even rose-tinged glassware! We had the General Tsos Cauliflower (amazing, perfectly crispy and paired great with the brussel sprouts) and the Kimchi Mac & Cheese -- also great, but perhaps should've chosen a slightly less spicy option for such a warm day out. I was sweatin a little haha. But a cold beer balanced everything out wonderfully. We'll back for the dessert!

Pros: Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, Friendly staff

Cons: Mixed on music choices, but loved Little Dragon, Cauliflower portion could've been bigger, Would've liked more micro greens

Gorgeous

One of many restaurants in the same group on the lower east side, all of which are vegan and amazing! We ate at the bar here and the guy who seemed to be running the place was so lovely and gave us lots of recommendations. So many options and every dish was delicious 💚 feel like it says a lot that the best dish was the broccoli - literally just broccoli in hoisin sauce! Takes a lot to make a single veggie taste sooo good on its own 😋

Another overthrow masterpiece

The bao buns are out of this world! All the food here is fantastic. The vibe is cute and fun. I’ve been here a few times for dinner and for special occasion brunches.

cute inside and yummy brunch

I went during Saturday brunch and got a seat at the bar with no reservation. It was pretty busy inside though! The egg sandwich was great. I loved the sausage and avocado! The potatoes were also delicious. I wish I could have tried more but I was too full. Definitely want to try dinner there too!

This place is amazing great food, great vibe, wonderful people. and I don’t have to feel like I’ve given anything up in terms of one of my favorite ways of eating before I became vegan. Lady Bird’s Tapas is simply out of this world!

Great casual spot

Had a lovely meal with 4 friends. Items are perfect for sharing. Had the arancini, corn ribs, dumplings, cauliflower and Mongolian broccoli. The arancini was the overall fave. But all if the dished were great.

Pros: Great menu, Delicious food, Cozy atmosphere, Excellent service

Refined place

Pricey, elegant place (waiter served, cloth napkins, silverware) that serves creative vegan food. My meal (a tonkatsu sandwich on toastede white bread) was very delicious.

Wanted to Love More

Came for brunch over the summer. Place was super cute. Not bad at all but wanted to love it more. Got the BEC buns and the tiramisu French toast and a side of brunch potatoes. Buns were good but could have used more flavor. French toast was good but didn’t give much of a tiramisu vibe. Potatoes were cooked perfectly but we didn’t love the garlic aioli.

The matcha tres leches is amazing!!

Went here for brunch. Had the tiramisu french toast (good tiramisu flavor) and the egg sandwich, delicious breakfast classic. I also had the matcha tres leches - my favorite!! Had maybe a basil syrup? Exquisite!

Vegan Brunch

Ladybird delivered a great family brunch experience. After clearing up a bit of confusion over a pre-arranged fixed price menu, they hit a home run. Everyone was happy with the shared plates and entrees. Recommended!

Pros: Steaned bao buns, Salad & brunch potatoes, Chik’n and Waffles (Oyster mushroom)

Delicious Asian-inspired vegan food

Was a walk-in for an early dinner on a Tuesday. Plenty of seats available but it started to fill up within an hour. Really cute ambience inside. Kind waitress (although the restaurant was quite understaffed with only 1-2 workers, which meant slow service). Got bitten by a mosquito in the restaurant with the windows/door closed but that may have just been bad luck

Ordered 3 items:
1. Bao Trio: absolutely delicious!! One better than the next. Surprisingly filling for three buns on the smaller side. One of the bao buns was quite spicy (which we happened to like!). Would absolutely order again
2. Banh Mi Toast (without cilantro): very tasty! A modern take on a banh mi sandwich. It was a little skimpy in terms of portion size—wish there was more!
3. Kimchi Mac & Cheese: my partner really liked this dish but I was not a fan. It had a very faint fake seafood taste that I couldn’t shake. Was a generous portion

Will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!

UPDATE (7/18/25): Went back to Ladybird and it was even better this time! Got the Bao Trio again, which was scrumptious as ever. Then tried 3 new dishes:
1. Kimchi Arancini: Fantastic appetizer! Definitely the best dish of the night
2. General Tso Cauliflower: Very tasty and flavorful cauliflower with a bonus of roasted brussel sprouts
3. Tonkatsu Sandwich: Deceptively very heavy (and we ended up splitting the sandwich, each eating a half). It tasted good but wouldn’t order again.

Amazing dinner + brunch!

I love the dinner menu at ladybird (I get the kale Caesar salad and Ghia spritz every time and love the new tonkatsu sandwich) but I tried their brunch recently and want to go back asap. I loved the matcha waffles and grilled cheese but want to try more!!

Pros: Varied menu, Great brunch, Friendly service

Great tapas for sharing

What a great experience! The venue is quaint and cozy. Went with friends and split the corn ribs (called ribs bc you eat the off the cobb slices). They were delicious and one order was enough for everyone to enjoy. Also had the avocado over fried rice, watermelon tacos (delicious), and the bao bun sampler. Everything was beautifully prepared and plated and so good! Loves it!

Can’t remember but some sort of aioli cream-like sauce. Didn’t taste watermelon - just the cool freshness. Loved it!

Perfection!

The 3 dishes I had were absolutely incredible. I highly recommend the trio of bao buns, kimchi Mac and cheese, and the matcha tres leches. The bao buns all had great unique flavor, the Mac was filling, and the tres leche was refreshing. The vibe was very cute in there. Perfect last dinner in NYC!

Lady Bird Vegan: A Flavorful, Creative Plant-Based Dining Experience You Won’t Want to Miss.

Lady Bird Vegan is a gem. The food is creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The nachos are a standout, loaded with fresh toppings, and the Brussels sprouts are perfectly roasted with a tangy sauce. Their desserts, especially the chocolate mousse and cinnamon rolls, are the perfect indulgence. With a cozy atmosphere and delicious dishes, Lady Bird Vegan is a must-visit for anyone, vegan or not. #Veganuary

Definitely Going Back!!

All vegan, creative & delicious — this place is quite the find!

It’s small — with 8 2-top & 1 4-6 top tables bar, but size does NOT matter here…unless you’re hoping one or two dishes from the Dinner menu is all you need to fill you up — it won’t (if you’re hungry).
BUT the food is beautifully prepared and super tasty!

My gf & I shared our plates — we felt they should have been under “Appetizers” because of the serving sizes.
We started with the Inari Nest — cleverly stuffed fried tofu yuba, sushi rice, pickled daikon and ginger, crispy onions, nori, wasabi, marinated mushroom, eel sauce. Each bite was a wonderfully unfolding bite of flavors. I’ve never had anything like this before, and found myself smiling with glee — truly a special creation. Only negative is that there were only two, and there was cilantro micro greens on top — after telling our server that I’m allergic to it.

Second was the Kimchi Arancini rice and cream cheese croquettes, panko, pickled daikon slaw, spicy aioli. Again, so pleasing to the eye. These 4 little balls were tasty with the spicy aioli. Would have appreciated more of the kimchi.

The Mongolian Broccoli charred leeks, mashed potato, mongolian sauce, cashews, crispy shallot was the only disappointing dish — for us, sweet isn’t our thing. But the other flavors were good.

Finished with the Matcha Tres Leches matcha sponge cake, whipped cream, strawberries, peaches was flavorful yet not too sweet. Loved the sliced strawberries. The cake was quite dense (meaning, heavy to finish the whole thing). Eating from a goblet is a bit awkward.

My gf’s latte was rich with strong chocolate notes. Happy to have oat milk.

Overall, a bit pricey for portions, but you can see how much work goes into these culinary creations — so we thought it was well worth it.

Pros: FOOD & FLAVOR + creativity, Servers

Cons: Portion sizes, Prices
