Don’t bother

I don’t know if they’ve changed their menu recently as others in the past seem to have been more successful here but there were no vegan options at all but two veggie ones. I asked a waiter if anything could be vegan and was told ‘no’.

Best vegan francesinha in town.

The vegan francesinha is delicious. The staff is competent and the delivery is fast. They're only missing a decent vegan dessert. Other then that, it's an awesome place.

Pros: Vegan Francesinha

Cons: No vegan desserts

Excellent veggie francesinha

Right in the center of the city, you can go here for a quick meal. They have salads, a vegan burger (made with grilled pineapple) and sandwiches. You can get the famous portuguese dish, francesinha, with both a vegetarian and vegan versions - you can switch the regular cheese for vegan cheese.

Pros: The spaceThe francesinhaThe fries

Cons: Service was a little slowVery few vegan options

I don't know if they have recently changed their menu, but there is no vegan burger. The pineapple burger has fiambre (ham) and cheese.

Went for Francesinha

We were told by several people to try the local dish so as this place is very popular for the dish and they offer a vegan version we thought we’d try. I don’t know what the dish is supposed to taste like so hard to judge but it looked exactly the same as the non vegans. Cheese was nice and melted, lots of sauce. Waiter was helpful and nice. It’s a very busy place with everyone pretty much ordering this dish. I wouldn’t likely eat it again but I definitely think it’s worth trying. The sausage is a little spicy so I would have preferred it without and would more likely eat it again without it. It’s very filling!

Pros: Vegan Francesinha, Helpful waiters , Free wifi

Cons: Vegan cheese is €2 extra

Vegan francesinha but expensive

My experience from non-vegan restaurants, this is the one that has the best / most flavour and traditional francesinha in a vegan version with the exception for the cheese although, nowadays (since august 2017) vegan cheese option is available but with a extra cost up to €2 .
All the ingredients (processed vegan meats) are close to the "original", which distinguishes this place from the rest of the vegetarian / vegan francesinhas available.
The problem is that it's too expensive. They could offer the cheese since we already don't eat the eggs (they are a free extra with every francesinha) and previously to august 2017 they didn't have vegan cheese so it's another ingredient that we ask to take away on the vegetarian option.

For this option to be vegan be sure to specify everything vegan (sauce, vegan cheese (violife) or no cheese, no egg).

Pros: Location, Offer vegan cheese

Cons: Price, Vegan cheese costs more

could have been better

This place has one vegan francesinha. You have to ask for vegan cheese and it's 1.20 euro extra. The cheese should've been melted more and there was not enough sauce. Overall overpriced for the food quality, but I'm glad there's an option.

Pros: free fast wifi
