This bakery is quite far from the center but more than worth the detour.

All the pastries on offer looked so delicious, it was hard to choose. In the end I went for a lemon meringue tartlet and some viennoiserie and it tastes just as good as it looks. This is what a vegan bakery should be like.

Wir dachten, es handele sich um ein Cafe, tatsächlich handelt es sich um eine typische belgische Bäckerei – nur dass das Angebot an Backwaren ausschließlich vegan ist. Was für ein Paradies! Die Auswahl war am Nachmittag nur noch klein. Wir haben uns für ein Beerentötchen, ein Himbeertörtchen und eine Waffel entschieden. Zusätzlich haben wir für den nächsten Tag noch eine Zitronen- Merengue und Schokocroissants mitgenommen.
Am nächsten Tag stellte sich heraus, dass zufälligerweise auch unsere Tochter dort war und ebenfalls einen kleinen Kuchen, typisch belgisches Gebäck, eine Brasilienne, gekauft hatte.
Alles war soo lecker. Ich wünschte, wir hätten eine so tolle vegane Bäckerei in der Nähe.
Wer in Lüttich ist, sollte den Weg den Hügel hinauf auf sich nehmen und sich etwas Leckeres gönnen. Wir haben die kleinen Törtchen auf einer Bank im nahen Park gegessen.
Wir hatten ein paar Verständigungsprobleme, da keiner von uns beiden Französisch spricht. Die wenigen Brocken, über die wir verfügen, und die freundliche und bemühte Verkäuferin haben uns aber dennoch ans Ziel gebracht.

Looking for vegan places when going to Liege we found this. It’s not a Cafe but a bakery-shop, where everything is vegan. At the afternoon when we were there we had only a few choices to make. We took some small fairy cakes and of course one of the waffles. For the next day we choose a Lemon-Tarte and Pain au chocolat.
We ate the fairy cakes at a near park sitting on a bench. Delicious!
Next day our daughter brought a Brasilienne bought at the bakery the day before, too. Everything was so lovely. Would like to have such a bakery next to us.
So whenever in Liege, climb the hill and go to La Patisserie Vegan!

Wide range of pastries. The strawberry one and the one with the hazelnuts an top were delicious! But I did had better pain au chocolate and the Blätterteig (puff pastry?) was a bit too dry. Also she seemed a liitle bit annoyed that I didn't speak french.

The staff were so lovely and kind. They spoke a little English which was helpful. There were so many delicious options. I couldn't choose so I brought 4 different cakes home. Every single one has been delicious. Exactly what I have missed as a vegan.q Would totally recommend!

Pour avoir testé une bonne partie de la carte, tout est très bon: tant les viennoiseries que les tartes. En parlant de la carte, elle ne cesse d'ailleurs de se renouveler avec de nouveaux goûts sortant des classiques.
Read moreOn peut d'ailleurs sentir la volonté du pâtissier, au delà d'offrir de bons produits qui soient vegan, de rechercher une certaine qualité et d'améliorer son savoir faire. C'est ainsi que ces bons desserts proposent diverses qualité alliant croquant, sucré, douceur ou encore acidité bien dosée.
Bref à essayer (ou réessayer) d'urgence si ce n'est pas déjà fait !

Il n'y a rien à redire : les pâtisseries sont parfaites, les prix sont corrects, c'est beau, c'est bon... Si je voulais chipoter je dirais simplement que la situation n'est pas la meilleure, étant donné que c'est quand même loin du centre ville.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also are active on social media so it's easy to keep in touch with what's in stock and with the news.
It's located not too far from the city center and easily accessible by car or public transportation.
It's an unmissable spot for locals or anyone who stops by Liège.

The taste of the 'koffiekoeken' is great, I had the same feeling, as I used to have, when I ate the non-vegan 'koffiekoeken'.

I've a dream that one day, their proposal will be the standard in the Belgium bakeries.
A must try, mainly to experience what they can make as vegan alternatives.
