Surprisingly authentic Mexican cuisine - Edit
It was a surprise to find La Papaya in Poznań, and now it's a family favorite! From the loaded burritos to the pea guacamole and authentic drinks, it's an amazing spot especially in nice weather. Highly recommend!

A rare treat to find a 100% Mexican vegan place. I had the lime soup to start which was so vibrant and tasty. We shared the fried potatoes which came drizzled in various home made sauces and the bean and walnut albondigas which came coated in a delicious spicy tomato sauce and two sides of lime rice and a salad with chilli salsa. Just as well I didn’t order a burrito on top of that as I’d have struggled. We also got two bottles of the dangerously addictive Jarritos Mexican soda. The whole place is so good you’ll crave for more. I’d give it a five if they served a beer! A very reasonable 115 PLN for the whole meal which equates to approx 23 GBP.

Didn't know what to expect when I saw vegan Mexican food in Poland but they definitely understood the assignment!!! Food is full of flavor, very filling portion sizes, I can appreciate that their spicy salsa is spicy. Will continue to eat here until I've tried the entire menu

Reggaeton and Dia de los Muertos decor. Relatively small venue. Half full with visitors. Pictures of Frida Kahlo and Rey Mysterio. Of course! Maybe some Mariachis lurk behind a corner to surprise me.
Read moreYou'd think I'd have learned how to eat Mexican tacos after my stay there last year, but I'm making a mess. The plate looks like a battlefield. But at least it's good. As good as I remember it. Feels like these tacos have more ingredients though.
Stuffed and satisfied. Now I don't have to eat until tomorrow.

La Papaya is a fully vegan Mexican restaurant with a rich menu of tacos, quesadillas, burritos, plates and many more.
Read moreI ate the slightly spicy comida verde plate, which was very flavourful.
The interior is very cosy and the staff are very friendly.
I highly recommend trying La Papaya if you like Mexican food.

We had burritos (verduras) and tacos (fish, chorizo, jackfruit). It was delicious! Especially the chipotle salsa was really spicy.

I highly recommend this place. I ordered a Bowl Al Pastor and it was delicious, fun and a lot of food. My husband (who is not vegan) had a Polaco burrito and really enjoyed it too. We shared a serving of churros, which were great - the chocolate raspberry habanero sauce is spot on! And it’s quite a large dessert.

The staff was lovely, decor great and the overall experience amazing.
