Buen concepto y comida generosa - Edit
Me ha encantado el concepto de asociación cultural gastronómica, en donde en función del día, te ofrecen un menú y una misma decide cuánto pagar. Los platos eran generosos, el ambiente muy como de casa y el personal muy atento y cercano. Repito seguro :)

Es una asociación, no un restaurante al uso. Cada día tienen un menú único (100% vegano) y cada comensal paga la voluntad la bebida que toma. El dinero se destina a asociaciones. Solo aceptan efectivo.

I love this place. They serve a fixed menu, very vegetable-based (at least the day I was there they didn't serve any meat substitutes) and delicious. It's high-end cuisine and, at the end, you pay what you want! Money goes towards supporting animal sanctuaries. Really really loved it.

Read moreI know, I never carry cash nowadays either. Second, since it's an association you need to register before eating. It's also "pay-what-you-want" but we were told upwards from 10€ each is the right thing.
So as you see this is not a typical restaurant. Yet the food was... Great. You get served a full menu, which for us was 4 courses and dessert. You can order more food if still hungry, and it's very vegetable based.
It seems like the menu changes often, and you can't choose what to order, so I don't really think that sharing my favorite dishes would help.
Very recommended

I have to emphasize the overall concept is just awesome. Besides that the food is very very delicious haute cuisine it carries a strong anti speciesist, transfeminist and anticapitalist approach (that’s why you decide on the price by yourself). All dishes are vegan, filtered water is free, staff is inclusive and friendly. Ingredients are mainly local and organic.

The servers were friendly and the food was fantastic. I was served pumpkin hummus, cauliflower bechamel, onion and pomegranate focaccia, almond soup and chocolate pudding. Wine and beer are available for about 2 Euros. Otherwise you pay what you wish. I would go back.

Este lugar eS MUY auténtico, es más un espacio vegano-cultural-político que un restaurante. Tiene dos turnos y sirven el mismo menú a todos los comensales a la vez. Menú cerrado, sencillo pero honesto y sobretodo rico. Tú te sirves la mesa, ofrecen agua fresca sin cargo.

C'est un local auto gestionnaire qui travaille avec d'autres organisations pour une société meilleure, notamment pour la régularisation des sans-papiers et l'accueil digne de tou-tes les migrant-es.
Je conseille vivement ce restaurant en tant que vegane et en tant que militante.

La Mandrágora es uno de esos sitios que te sorprende. El proyecto es genial y se agradece encontrar lugares así.
Read moreEl menú de cada comida es fijo e incluye agua. Los cubiertos y el agua te los sirves tú misme, y si quieres alguna otra bebida (por ejemplo zumos o refrescos) la pides en la barra y se paga a parte. La idea es que pagues la cantidad de dinero que consideres acorde al menú servido, al trato recibido y al proyecto de la asociación, sin imponerte un precio concreto.
El espacio es acogedor, inclusivo y agradable. El dinero recogido en cada comida, además de servir para cubrir gastos en cocinar, etc. se destina a causas (en el caso de mi cena se destinaba a ayudar a inmigrantes estudiantes). En el local hay una estantería con libros, bolígrafos y otros objetos que puedes comprar, y así apoyar a otras causas/asociaciones. También venden camisetas propias para recaudar dinero.
La comida (vegana) estaba buenísima. Se nota que es totalmente casera y cocinada por elles. Me gustó mucho todo lo que tenía el menú de esa noche, pero si tengo que destacar algo es el hummus con zanahoria glaseada. El trato que recibimos fue magnífico desde el principio, incluso llegando antes de la hora prevista y sin reservar ni ser socios.
Si hubiese que dar algún punto en contra, sería que el local no tiene aire acondicionado (solo ventiladores) y que al no ser muy grande puede volverse ruidoso. Aún así, nada de esto impide disfrutar de la comida. Personalmente es un aspecto negativo casi insignificante.
En resumen, si buscas disfrutar de buena comida en un ambiente inclusivo y concienciado, no dudes en ir a La Mandrágora.

We were lucky enough to get a table without having to book, but this is in January and we arrived early so I would imagine it gets more busy in Spring and Summer. It was packed by the time we left. There is no set menu but we very much enjoyed what we were given, which was a tasty vegetable soup to start, followed by what may be described as fried rice balls in a very flavourful sauce, followed by a fresh fruit salad with delicious vegan whipped cream. The price is not set - you decide what to pay. You may also find the portions a little small but you can ask for more. My only criticism would be that the red wine given to us was not to my taste as it lacked flavour and body. #Veganuary
