A Madrid vegan essential! - Edit
Wonderful hummus, fabulous fresh salad, delicious homemade lemonade. And the dessert, “Sándwich de Kadaif y helado” was superb. Super friendly staff - special shout out to the chef, whose food shows that she loves what she does. A must for anyone who enjoys vegan food.

Menu con diverse opzioni vegane, non solo hummus... hanno anche una Falaferia. - Edit
Piatti buoni, ben fatti. Se avete dubbi basta chiedere, ti consigliano volentieri... meglio prenotate se di è in quattro o più, il posto è piccolo e non ha posti esterni, ma essendo defilato dal gran movimento va bene.

We had several small plates of hummus, cauliflower, and the surprise hit khoresht sabzi- a Persian stew. The tableware is thoughtfully chosen- like you are at someone’s home. Delightful atmosphere and interior. Flooded with natural light. All vegetarian, probably 90% vegan.

I don’t think I would want to go here for a full meal but it was good for a quick snack or light lunch. The hummus is served warm and I’m not sure how I feel about that. I think I prefer it room temperature or cool. It’s also a bit watery and I noticed it’s because when they are putting it together the last step is to add some whole chick peas. The chick peas are in a pot and they are in liquid. When they scoop out the chick peas they are not completely draining the liquid so some ends up in your bowl. The green tahini sauce is quite nice and the pita bread was fresh and warm. The beet carpaccio was a little underwhelming. I think that one could be improved on. To end in a positive note, the service was great!

Hummus was delicious, as was the salad we had with it. Three salads and two hummus plates was too much food for the three of us really, but it was all delicious food.

La Hummuseria is located in the heart of Madrid. They have a great selection of yummy vegan food with great hummus combinations. The space is small and cozy. I suggest making a reservation. I highly recommend La Hummuseria.

The small menu makes it easy to decide what to have. We had a lentil tapas dish and a couple of hummus dishes. The mushroom hummus was delightful! I would definitely go here again.

Lovely little place with friendly staff serving great fresh salads and other delicious things. Including of course fantastic hummus. A highlight of our trip and will definitely return when we're back in Madrid.
