Delicious food and good location - Edit
I tried the tacos and the avocado smoothie. The smoothie had not much taste but i think that is how its supposed to be. The tacos were delicious and although the portion looked small to me, it was really filling. The atmosphere is relaxed, the restaurant looked clean and hip and it seems they offer wifi although i didnt try it. I would visit this place again if i would have more time in Tulum.

The Green Eye - Edit
During our exploration bicycle ride in Tulum we stumbled upon La Hoja Verde. We stopped for smoothies and tacos. A great spot for people watching and the tacos were delicious! Check out my full review here: https://thatjenngirl.com/blog/2148/vegan-in-tulum

Very cool place - Edit
We had the empanadas , falafel plate , and veggie pizza . All were good but not quite great. Veggie pizza was a little doughy and light on toppings which was disappointing . We also had a beet, apple, ginger drink which was quite good. Alcohol beverages were quite strong. They had some great music playing and had a laid back atmosphere , right on the street . Prices were decent and service good. Would definitely recommend !

Perfect for everyone! - Edit
Great place - we went 3 times in a row because it caters to vegans, as well as fussy eaters! It offers pizza, pasta, Mexican meals, and many more. Almost all were vegan/could be made vegan. Good size mains (for around 120 pesos), and small but perfect desserts (all vegan!). 5% charge on card payment kind of annoying. Staff were lovely! Highly recommended.

We had a not happy expireance here, the beet hamburger was too sweet and the 'sea food' plate was too chili , even for my mexican friend :( nobody asked us if we like the food or not, and we were given the bill without asking for it. I felt uncomfteble and unwanted.

Just lovely! - Edit
Visited today and found many vegan options! As mentioned below you may need to remind staff to not add honey! We had a delicious burger with rustic potatoes as well as mushrooms marinated in a beetroot type sauce, was very yummy.

Beware if you avoid honey! - Edit
It seems strange but staff seems to not know what vegan means and are completely unaware that some vegans don’t eat honey. My banana cake came doused in honey after I was assured it was vegan. As other reviewers have noted in general food is bland. Do yourself a favor and go around the corner to El Vegetariano.

Terrible Staff and Bland Food - Edit
My girlfriend is gluten free and asked if the falafel dish contained any wheat or gluten. The waiter checked and came back and said there was no gluten. The dish came out and had five dishes, one was wheat bread, one was pearl barley salad and one was BBQ sauce with wheat thickener. She said (kindly) that she couldn't eat that since it had gluten and if she could have more falafel instead. Long story short, the owner came over and was unnecessarily rude about the situation and made a scene. It was uncalled for, especially since we checked beforehand. The food was very bland and disappointing. Massive disappointment.

bring your own Seasoning - Edit
This restaurant has alot of dishes and you order most of them vegan. Really like 90% of the menu is vegan if you can communicate with the waitress. The food is good but not as jaw dropping as it sounds. The food is not very flavourful. Ask the waiter for salt and pepper to get some more out of your food. Desert can be ordered vegan. Get the truficas (this is one is very delicious though) for dessert or the french fondant.

Lack flavours - Edit
Disappointing unfortunately. Nice service, chilled place and very attractive menu but the food and the drinks were average. Smoothies were watery, my boyfriend's burger was just a dry vegan patty in a dry bun (and a lettuce leaf), and my tacos lacked condiments too. A shame as it's 100% vegetarian and vegan but I found the vegan food from Enso restaurant so much better.

Don't bother - Edit
This food was extremely overpriced and very small servings. The vegan tacos al pastor didn't have any flavor. We all left hungry and regretted eating there. The tip is included in the bill as "gratuity" but then it lies by saying that the tip isn't included. A lot of the things on the menu weren't actually available and there is no vegan cheese to alter vegetarian dishes to make them vegan.

So this was my go to place for lunch & a few dinners. Portions are good. My only complaint the service can be really slow during breakfast/lunch. The owner came to our table & apologized for the wait and gave us a dessert in the house.

wonderful service, healthy food - Edit
I was welcomed by a nice waiter who was very thoughtful and made sure I had all I needed.
Read moreI decided to have a leon-juice (pineapple, orange, carrot and ginger), a multigrain burger and a chocolate brownie on top. Everything was tasty, even though personally I would have put more spices to the burger - but that's just a matter of taste :)
I paid about 200pesos for everything, which seems ok considering that it was all fresh and healthy food.
The atmosphere there is nice and cozy, even though it is located close to the major street.
I would recommend it :)
Pros: healthy, tasty, fresh, nice atmosphere , nice service
Cons: seemed to be mostly vegetarian, but still plenty , maybe a bit small portions

Delicious food & juices! Many vegan options, most vegetarian dishes can be turned vegan. The ambiance is very relaxing as there are many plants. I recommend the falafel & seed burger. My husband loved the tacos-- make sure to ask for habanero sauce with it. Last but not least, the prices are great!

Yummy burgers and vegan desserts!! - Edit
Had a lovely burger here with yucca chips and finished with the vegan fondant! Yum!! Super friendly service and a little shop to buy vegan products, although they didn't have any milk to buy to take away when I asked. Super conveniently placed just across the road from where the colectivo drops you off from Akumal where we were staying.
