A GEM - Edit
We arrived an hour before they were to close for the afternoon. It took a bit to receive our food, but we did not feel rushed to eat AT ALL. A few other diners were there almost as late as we were. I ordered coffee before using the restroom and expected it to be in to-go cups, but it wasn’t. We were able to enjoy without having to juggle a to-go cup in the car.
Read moreI ordered the crepe dish and my husband had the bowl. He’s not vegan, but throughly enjoyed his meal. I now want to make savory crepes at home. I wish there was 2 on the plate. I tucked in and enjoyed as soon as I took the first bite.
Don’t hesitate. Eat here!!!

Seriously the best vegan food ever! - Edit
This place… first of all only power women here 💪 second, the food is really incredible and I am pretty wel fed with vegan food the last 8 years. The taste is amazing. And you really taste the local ingredients. The staff is so kind and they explain everything what you eat. We aks for a recommendation so we got a cheeseplank (seriously the best I ever had) and after that a pasta and a pizza. The pasta and pizza were so good. I really miss this place already writing this review. After that we got a selection of sweets. And also those were sooo good. The owner of the restaurant is so kind and so talented. I am really happy and proud that people like this people exist to let us experience this kind of food. Grazie Mile 🙏❤️❤️

Veganised tradition - Edit
La Colubrina looks like your typical traditional Italian restaurant, all dark wood and warm lighting, and their menu is full of veganised Italian classics, including pizza and pasta. I went for the risotto and wasn't disappointed; while it might not have been visually appealing (when is it ever?), the taste was spot on. The portion didn't look big, but it was filling enough. My only complaint would be the fact that they only had one person serving, and they were clearly running off their feet, so they couldn't give the guests enough attention. Overall, though, a great experience, and I'd definitely go back for more if I was staying longer.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! - Edit
One of the best vegan restaurants in Milan! The food was incredible! We had the Cacio e Pepe, the Pizza Colubrina (with vegan blue cheese - which was unbelievably good), and a pistachio cream cake for dessert. The chef was so friendly and took the time to explain all of the desserts in English, which was very appreciated. I wish I lived in Milan so I could dine here all the time.

Disappointing... - Edit
I've eaten at about a dozen places in Milan, and this was the most disappointing. The food itself tasted good but wasn't really fancy: the only thing fancy about the experience were the small serving sizes, the high prices, and the jazz music playing in the background (that was good though). The cheese plate was a shocking €26.50 for tiny serves with nothing else on the plate and they charged extra for the bread which was dry. For comparison, I've had cheese plates in Bologna, Paris and Vienna that were cheaper and much bigger.

Not wheelchair friendly as advertised - Edit
I went there 4 years ago, so maybe they bought a ramp now. The front step isn't small when you use a heavy wheelchair. I was able to get inside because someone strong was accompanying me.

Ogni volta che vado a La Colubrina rimango sempre stupida dalla bravura di Consuelo e sua mamma nel preparare piatti eccezionali con ingredienti semplici e di alta qualità! Non vedo l'ora di tornare. Altamente consigliato

Huge disappointment - Edit
Based on previous reviews we were expecting something extraordinary but the food was just ok.
Read moreThe prices were high, but the quality, quantity and overall taste - poor.
Potatoes were cold and tempeh was unseasoned and pizzas were just a regular ones - no better than vegan options in other places.
Overall - we wish it wasn’t, but it was a huge disappointment and we are sorry for letting our friends down and suggesting that place😒

Just wow… - Edit
This was not what I was expecting. I thought I’d be at a restaurant with your typical Italian staples like pastas and pizza with your regular processed meat and cheese substitutes, which would’ve been fine by me if I’m being honest. Instead, I was met with an innovative menu, something almost out of a “Top Chef” competition. This place hits the make in terms of both flavor and presentation. I highly recommend the “Tagliata di Seitan Smoked” which was suggested to me by my server. Everything I tried was very good. I’ll definitely come again if I have time on my trip.

Shockingly good. - Edit
What a lovely restaurant! The food was very good and the vibe is very chill, family, traditional. The food uses a lot of gluten free and whole ingredients and there are several raw dishes. Portions were on point and allowed for a shared appetizer, first and second course and even a dessert without feeling terrible afterward. (Although I’ll have to get up early for a run to make up for the incredible cheesecake that’s definitely not to be missed!) My daughter loved the pizza margarita. The staff were incredible friendly and spoke English perfectly (and tolerated my questionable attempts at speaking Italian.) Highly recommended.

Real food - Edit
This place has a really nice vibe about it, feels very personal. Greeted by a very friendly team member who served us throughout. All the food was real with no fake meats. The pasts were great but the mushrooms pizza was traditional solid food. For dessert the Tiramisu is something else, the owner walked us through the whole dessert options and was very proud of her tiramisu and so she should be. On leaving the owner calls out Vegan Power which makes you leave with a smile on your face

The restaurant is super cosy and staff very welcoming
Read moreI was dying to have a risotto but got a bit disappointed by the one they offer. It tasted super good but the portion was so small, I could definitely have eaten 2!
My husband had a pizza and it was very disappointing! Very simple pizza with only zucchini instead of a variety of vegetables. He also ordered to extra blue cheese with it and it came out with a kind of camembert that was just put on top and not even melted. We surely had better pizzas in non-vegan places!
We looked at the other customers' orders and they all had very small portions served.
Didn't try any dessert as they didn't look very attracting to us
