Tranquil setting with delicious food - Edit
Kubu offers a vegan tasting menu (online they say Plant Base, this is not fully vegan but you can request this in advance).
Read moreWhen we arrived we were whisked off in a golf buggy to the venue. The venue focuses on Indonesian style, so bamboo throughout. I contacted in advance and asked for a pod which overlooks the Ayung River (no extra cost).
The service was great and food presented well. Overall there were 10 courses, with the food foraged from around the island. A map is provided to show exactly where the ingredients from.
The food overall tasted good, but not quite in the same level as other tasting menus in the area.
I would still say it is worth it, especially for the views.
