Not vegan friendly - Edit
Upon arrival I asked the lady at the entry if there is vegan food, and she immediately said “no”. After showing her the “happy cow” listing description, she said “only curry”. I asked if this meal is spicy, and since it was we decided to move on to a more vegan friendly place.

Peaceful and good food - Edit
When I asked for vegan food they seemed confused at first, but ended up being able to make the keema curry using soy meat. It’s a nice cafe with a relaxing atmosphere and the view on the lake was pretty. I enjoyed my time and food there, especially since there aren’t many other vegan options in that area.

Vegan keema curry - Edit
Came here because of the possibly vegan pasta (they said it’s not vegan) but they said they could make the keema curry vegan (soy meat!). They knew what vegan was and were happy to accommodate. They took credit cards. All seating is upstairs, so take note if you have mobility issues.

Bad stomach after lunch - Edit
The staff of Ku Lake Side Café was really friendly and the view from the two floors above the entrance is amazing. You see the lake and the mountains behind. But the food and drinks are unfortunately really bad. The Espresso was no real Espresso but max. from a Moka I guess. The cake was ready bought and only heated in the microwave. All in all the prices were way above an appropriate amount. But the worst thing at all: The menu has either vegan nor vegetarian options and when a friend ordered a fish-pasta she probably poisoned herself and hat a bad stomach for the rest of the day. Definitely not an experience you want to make. It’s a pity that the Ku don’t use their amazing place for a better kitchen.

Beautiful View and Drinks, No Food - Edit
Basically what the title says. I really enjoyed the morning I spent at Ku Cafe. The views of the lake were spectacular and the drinks were phenomenal. I had a creamy soy milk matcha latte and the best peach smoothie I’ve ever had made with fresh, local peaches. The small Lotus cookies that came with the drinks were also vegan. However, as far as I could tell, none of their food options were vegan and I had to grab snacks from a konbini before heading out of the area. Also, note that if you order black tea, it comes with a small pitcher of milk. Specify no milk or soy milk when ordering!

Coffee/Tea and Toast - Edit
No vegan options. However if you’re needing breakfast you can get toast and jam - nowhere else open at 9am! The coffee is good however.
