racially profiling at its finest

i went to dinner on 6/4/25 at around 9:30pm to celebrate my cousins 19th birthday. Our waiter had started off the night in a rude manner & was acting like he did not want to be there let alone serve us. When it came to the end of the night, i asked for the check & once it arrived, i immediately put my card on the table. a different waiter or bus boy took my card and the check and came back momentarily with the merchant and customer copy. i filled out both, paid a 20% tip on a $100 bill, waited around for an extra minute or two and then left. I was about 30 feet away from my car before the waiter, hostess, and cop chased me down in the parking lot asking me if i had paid check. they were super rude & acted as if i committed a crime, i went back inside with the three of them, gave the cop my customer copy of the receipt, and he told us to wait there until he came back. I even pulled up my bank information showing that the bill was already being processed on my account. the cop came back saying that the staff miscommunicated and didn’t apologize once. the host was in the corner talking to another person, and my waiter was never seen again. I’m a 20 year old latina women who got chased in the parking lot, accused of not a pay bill, humiliated and harassed in front of multiple people in the parking lot, and not once did i get an apology. my sole regret is not calling the manager, like i should’ve. safe to say, ill never go back.

Yum!!

A decent selection of veg food here.
Sesame tofu is really good.
They are usually pretty accommodating to adjusting and modifying the dishes.
The food is usually ready pretty fast.
One thing I noticed was the last bunch of times Ive been, the food has seemed way better on the weekends rather than during the week.

Great Drinks

Found this place during covid, when they offered take-away food. Their outdoor seating area is awesome! They have live music occasionally, and offer a great vibe inside. The decor is cute and quirky, but the food is even better.

When I go, I get the sesame tofu with a mai tai. You can never go wrong with their drinks!

Pros: Great outdoor seating, Gluten free options, Indoor decor is mesmerizing

Cons: Expensive Drinks
