Warning: Stews not vegan! - Edit
I visited the place with a Korean vegan the other day and we found out that the stews are actually not vegan since the broth contains dried anchovies. I have eaten the stew a couple of times before and the staff had always ensured me it’s vegan, so it was very upsetting to learn. Apparently, they did not understand that the anchovies in the broth makes the dish not vegan (the same applies for the fish oil in the side dishes, which they always bring out even though you specifically order vegan dishes 😔). However, the pancake, bibimbap and, apparently, the mushroom hotpot can still be made vegan.

Yummy bibimbap - Edit
Really tasty sizzling bibimbap. The owner understood no fish, meat or egg and therefore didn't provide any kimchi.

Try a vegan pancake - Edit
The staff created vegan bibimbap and pancake for us after seeing our Happy Cow translation card. It was delicious, thankfully the place was empty around 3pm so we could communicate with the host. We thought we didn't order enough, but the pancake was huge.

Liked but hesitant - Edit
The pros - the food tasted really good. I got the green onion pancake and the soft tofu paste stew. It was quiet when we visited but I did walk past later and see it get busier. It had a nice family-run atmosphere
Read moreThe cons-I’m not confident my meal was fully vegan. I had a printed out vegan card that I showed to the older lady taking my order and she appeared to understand. And then brought out the sides which included fish and kimchi (which is made with fish). While my meal itself did not appear to have any meat or fish, I’m not confident they didn’t use any products that contain them after the sides were brought out. Cleanliness is also an issue here - there was a hair in my boyfriend’s rice, a cockroach on the ground and I watched the waiter cough over the cutlery. Wanted to like this place but I’m not sure I would return.

Best option in haeundae - Edit
I found this place thanks to the happy cow people who have gone before me and the owner understood our vegan and veggie requests. Spring onion pancakes and bibimbap, both excellent.

Great vegan meal! - Edit
Great meal, easy to translate via Google, however I'm sure she would have understood- she said vegan to me. I got the soybean paste stew which was great, I'm sure other items could be vegan however I stuck to what someone else had tried. Nice, clean and comfy resturant. First proper korean meal that I've been able to enjoy

Nice food - Edit
This is one of the few lunch options I’ve been able to find in Haeundae beach.
Read moreSlight language barrier but once we got past that he knew what I could order. It was tasty and it was good to try the local food.
It’s definitely not a must visit but if you’re in the area and need lunch then it’s a good option.

Be careful! - Edit
I had the soybean paste stew and it was phenomenal.
Read moreUnfortunately, though, despite telling the staff at the beginning (via google translate) that I’m vegan, they did provide a side of small fish.
I don’t think you should avoid this place on that basis - it was just a small miscommunication which can be expected if you don’t speak the local language. I’d just advise being extra careful that they understand that you’re vegan.
Pros: Delicious food, Authentic
Cons: Small misunderstanding resulted in non-vegan side

PERFECTION - Edit
We had a wonderful meal - cannot recommend enough! We specified that we are vegan (best to do this) and we were able to order the kimchi stew and soybean paste stew, as well as the green onion pancake (without egg). The owner also brought us several vegan traditional Korean sides, all of which were equally delicious as our main courses. The owner was also very kind.😄If we’re ever in Busan again, we’ll definitely come back - 10/10 recommend!

Not to my taste buds liking... - Edit
The owner was very nice and aware of vegan options of her menu. My (non-vegan) aunt enjoyed the pancakes (with eggs) and the soft tofu stew, whereas I ordered the soybean paste. My aunt didn't mind the taste of the stews and really enjoyed the pancakes, I honestly did not like the stews. I did enjoy the rice and the side dishes, but wouldn't come back. The place itself had a nice atmosphere otherwise.

Nice vegan dining experience in Haeundae - Edit
We loved the small restaurant and welcoming feel of this restaurant. We used Papago to communicate with the owner and were able to order vegan versions of our entres. We ordered the bibimbap, soybean paste stew and the tofu stew. We ordered the green onion pancake as is-with seafood and egg and it was fabulous.

Delicious Hot Stone Bibimbap! - Edit

Accommodating to vegans, just specify before ordering - Edit
Tldr: cheap and nice homely dishes, need to specify before ordering vegan.
Read morePlace was near the western end of Haeundae beach. Another "one woman show" restaurant, with cheap prices and a homey atmosphere. Owner is very kind, and made sure to understand all our wishes to not make a mistake.
You need to really explain and specify that you do not eat dairy/eggs/meat or anything with fish, which includes fish sauce.
After some discussion with translation apps, she stated that the vegan choices are:
1) Soft Tofu
2) Bean paste Stew
3) Kimchi stew*
4) Sizzling stone vegetable bibimbap(no egg)
You also get 4 side dishes made up from fermented beans, yellow daikon, seaweed and finally Kimchi*.
*I am not sure if the Kimchi she uses is without fish sauce, cause it was left ambiguous.
The green onion pancake is definitely made with eggs, and is not possible to make vegan.
The soft tofu stew and bibimbap we ordered were good, although the side dishes were mediocre.
We unfortunately got distracted and forgot to take pictures of the dishes.
All in all, a cosy place to have a good meal.

Be careful - Edit
Good was tasty. Service was friendly and she seemed like she understood my dietary requirements. I used google translate to as for no fish sauce, meat, dairy or egg. My Bibimbap was vegan. Be careful when ordering Korean pancakes (green onion) as it came with an egg. (Some versions can be made without egg so not sure if she just didn’t understand)

Satisfied - Edit
Was satisfied with my bibimbap and my sister with her tofu stew. You have to specify that it's supposed to be vegan when ordering. The owner doesn't speak a lot of English but she understands the basics. She even came back to ask again whether we could eat egg or not. The portions aren't that big, so if you are really really hungry you might want to order more. But the prices are good (8000 for bibimbap) and it was fast. Our friend also asked for a banchan refill and we got some more.
Read morePros: Cheap, Free water and banchan, Good prices

Bimimbap and onion pancake made without animal or fish ingredients are both available upon request. Results are okay, but other nearby places can do similar modifications to regular menu items with similar results.
