A food court (amongst other things) featuring many restaurants that offer vegetarian and vegan choices. Food and cocktail deliveries are also available through the local CityGrab app or Deliveroo. Just a few examples of the many vegan offerings: The bhaji box from Chaat Cart; the vegan platter, vegan cheeseburger burritos, or the vegan mushroom Birria quesadillas from Torito Taco; the vegan seitan kimchick burger from Bangin Burgers and the vegan grilled whole harissa cauliflower with dukka from MorMor. Open Tue-Fri 08:00-23:00, Sat 11:30-23:00, Sun 09:00-22:00. Closed Sun-Wed. (Check with them about extended hours as they are subject to change.)

Lacking a little - Edit
The food court had live music on a Friday night, which seemed promising, but it wasn’t very busy. Unfortunately, it felt more like an American mall food court—bland and uninspiring. It’d be great to see more character and creativity in the offerings.

Fresh doughnuts - Edit
Got these doughnuts in the evening, £7 for 2, thought it might be stale by then but still wanted them.
Read moreThey were not stale at all! Fresh, soft, delicately sweet. Enjoyed both doughnuts thoroughly.
Not all of Project D's dougnuts are vegan so make sure you check with the staff or picture menu.
The place is dog friendly! There was a cute dog with a doughnut ring cushion around their head, awww.

Spoilt for choice - Edit
Evwry stall had fantastic vegan options!! I neeed to go back and try all of them👀
Read moreI got a rice bowl from the Mexican stall, the man was super sweet, gave us free samples, asked for feedback and even suggested things on the menu he thought would be good.🥹The actual meal was full of flavour and felt very nutritious too😋
For dessert, I opted for a Project D maple and pecan donut! A bit on the pricier side but I’d tried their donuts from the Pollen market before and I knew they were class😍I got another donut to take for a friend after too and they loved it!!
Highly recommend to ANYONE, vegan or not, especially if you’re a fan of variety…and food courts🤭

Poor vegan options - Edit
We ordered from two places. Mucha Lucia served us the worst burrito we’ve had in our lives - a soggy rice less mess that was essentially a flavourless aubergine wrap.
Read moreThe vegan bao from Hanoi was slightly better but at £12 for two little bao, it was shocking value for money

Collective of food businesses - Edit
It's a really big space (used to be part of the old Co-op department store) with lots of seating options. There's a range of different vendors which you can go round and then order your food from. We went for pizza which was cooked fresh to order in the wood fired pizza oven. They had a lot of veggie options which could all be made vegan with their vegan mozzarella style cheese. Between us we had an aubergine and pesto pizza and a roasted mushroom one. We didn't order any drinks as I think you needed to order them from the central bar. There is an app you can download which I think means you can order from a range of the vendors but it had pretty poor reviews on Google Play so I decided not to bothered faffing about with it.
Read moreIt had background music playing but it wasn't too loud or obtrusive. The place has a really nice vibe about it.
Pros: Lots of vegan options., Range of different food styles to suit all., Large space - booking not required
Cons: Ordering from different vendors could be a faff.

Lots of interesting choices for vegans - Edit
I work near Kommune so would often pop in there for a nice vegan lunch pre-pandemic. Since being in lockdown I've ordered take-away from there a few times. It's great to have lots of choice, and everything is clearly labelled so it's easy to make compassionate choices. The vendors and their offerings change quite often, so there's always something new to try. The cocktails are extremely potent - be warned! They're extremely delicious too!
