Japanese-influenced American diner food - Edit
Located on the bottom floor of an office high-rise, KOMEDA is has a broad array of foods traditionally found in an American diner (burgers, cocoa, coffee, pancakes) but with a Japanese influence. Not the best vegan meal I’ve had in Tokyo but nothing wrong with it either. It hit the spot as we packed up and headed to the airport.

Good by chain standards - Edit
We dropped in for dinner after failing to get a table at sold-out Ain Soph nearby. Though this is a chain restaurant with a by-the-numbers approach to the food business, there is some reasonably good food to be found. The menu is mostly comfort food, though there are a few healthier items like the edamame, which was the tastiest item we had.

Lots of Western-style options - Edit
We came here a couple of times when we just wanted something quick and easy, and it didn’t disappoint. They’re pretty busy in the mornings because they open much earlier than other vegan restaurants in the area. Would particularly recommend the lemon soy meat sandwich, the soft serve and the ice chocolate.

Venue
Read moreBig, modern, close to the local train station. Light and airy. Nice music.
Service
A friendly welcome. Shown to my seat. Ordering is done via an iPad. Food was brought fairly quickly to my table with a smile.
Food
I had the soy meat sandwiches. Somewhat chewy soy meat but enjoyable. The spicy mayo was approx a 0.01/10 on the spicy scale. I also had the soy cutlet toasted sandwich which was much softer and again, enjoyable. Paired with a little tankard of iced oat coffee.
Price
Pricy but it’s Ginza. I’d come back here again for sure.

All vegan kissaten! - Edit
Very cute kissaten with all vegan food! A bit on the expensive side but it is located in Ginza after all 😅 The food is really good, although the portions could be a bit more generous. I went there twice and enjoyed my meals both times. I also appreciated being able to use the wifi and charge my devices.

Poor - Edit
Took over half an hour for them to make a basic vegan burger and fries to go. When I did get the food (after waiting 30mins) it was cold...I rarely write bad reviews, but this was just not acceptable.

Fully vegan restaurant with plenty of choice - Edit
This fully vegan, american style dinner was great with quick service. I had the avocado teriyaki burger and my boyfriend the chicken burger with tartar sauce. The soy burger patties were great, especially the chicken one. We will definitely be coming back :)

Great place to get solid western vegan food. Mind you if you come in the later times, majority of the popular items will be sold out. Clean and big location right in Ginza. Amazing drinks though!!

We enjoyed our food here and it was good but nothing spectacular. The interior is really lovely and savoury food is good. We were disappointed with the pancakes, they are very dense and not bouncy at all as described.

Loved this place! - Edit
This place perfectly captures the ambiance. The staff was impeccable, the organic decor was stunning, and the food was simply divine. Whenever I visit a restaurant, I can’t resist starting with edamame. Komeda offered a spicy soy sauce edamame, which was a delightful twist on the classic. I don’t recall the name of the burger I had, but it was decent. However, the highlight of my meal was the spinach smoothie from the source. It was exactly what I needed on a ALL day—refreshing, invigorating, and utterly satisfying.

Amazing breakfast spot - Edit
Would go again - pancakes were better than in Ann Soph and when you order smoothie in the morning you get a breakfast for free - which was a very nice surprise and what was even nicer was that the toast and cream cheese was probably the best I’ve ever had. Minestrone soup was also very good. There are outlets and a complimentary water.
