Blown away!!

From the moment you walk into this place, you know you are in for a special treat. The place itself is beautiful. The interior design feels both inspired by the Palace of Versailles and the Satanic Temple. The menu is fun and inventive. Luckily, I came with a large group, so we ordered several dishes to split. We got the chimichurri kebabs, the charred greens, the carrots, the potatoes, the garlic knots, the fried mushrooms, and the egg roll burgers. Everything was delicious. I only regret that I can't come back for brunch (pancakes 🤤). The service was great as well. Oh and I can't forget the drinks. All very beautiful and served in fun glasses. This place is a banger. Definitely come and don't be afraid to splurge!

Pros: All vegan, Incredible ambiance, Delicious

Cons: So many options, hard to decide 😭

Came with a large group so we were able to try a bit of everything. Everything was delicious. Whether you prefer veggie-forward food or love mock meats, there's lots on the menu for you!

Pros: Big flavors, Sharable plates, Extensive cocktail/mocktail menu

Cons: Pricy

great vibe, great food

We ate brunch here a few months ago after hearing positive things from some locals. The aesthetic is really cool, with neat design and good music. I laughed at some of the punk/hardcore puns on the menu. Caesars salad was the standout, but everything my family tried was really solid. Hoping to try dinner next time I am in town.

Delicious 🥰

This place was an unexpected delicious treat, we drove down from Los Angeles and were looking for a tasty, satisfying vegan restaurant. This place has all the things, ambience, creative vegan cuisine and attentive staff. The egg roll burger was delicious, the desserts were heavenly, not to be missed! Bonus, stays open unit midnight 😋

Pros: Ambience , Creative vegan cuisine , Desserts 🍮

Amazing vegan!!

Kindred is an absolute gem! The attention to detail in both the food and ambiance makes for an incredible dining experience. The mocktails are thoughtfully crafted—complex, refreshing, and perfect for any occasion. The charred carrots are a standout, with a deep, smoky sweetness that lingers beautifully. The burger is one of the best I’ve had—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For dessert, the lime cake is a must-try—light, tangy, and just the right amount of sweet. I also loved the fresh leaves mint tea, which was incredibly aromatic and soothing. Everything here feels intentional and well-executed. Can’t wait to return!

Pros: Carrots, Puff pastry , Lime cake

Cons: Chimichurri was a bit too meaty, tasted like pork

Must go

From the food, drinks, vibe, decor, Kindred is perfect! The space is so well done. The menu is amazing, wish I could try everything. The skewers and puff pastry garlic knots we got were amazing, and all the drinks we tried were great. It gets busy so keep that in mind when visiting.

Gothic vegan spot

A very good place with a wide range of choices. The setting is original and advance booking is highly recommended as this is a very popular restaurant.

5 star vegan restaurant for sure

This place was pretty incredible. The first time we went, we had such a hard time choosing that we ordered a bona fide feast. Their chimichurri skewers are one of the most incredible things I’ve ever eaten, the charred remains were so tasty, and the entrées we got were incredible as well. We went back for brunch over the weekend because we couldn’t wait to try more of their menu. Great drinks, great vibes, incredible food. Definitely pricey, but worth it for a nice meal out.

Foodie Restaurant Impersonating as a Bar

My first visit to KINDRED Bar and restaurant exceeded expectations. For brunch I enjoyed a delicious sandwich called, The Golden Ark. This sausage, egg and neon cheese on a freshly baked bread is the best breakfast sandwich that I have ever had. It was flavorful with just the right amount of spice (probably the aioli sauce). I would have never thought of adding pickles to a breakfast sandwich but it really helped. Vegans and non-vegans alike would be impressed.

The cannoli is a crispy, tasty shell with a delicate cream filling that was not overpowered by sugar. The best I’ve ever tasted.

I highly recommend this place as a bar or a restaurant. No wonder they were San Diego Magazine’s restaurant of the year. #Veganuary

Pros: The Golden Ark, Cannoli

Creative and cool

Decor and staff were awesome, but the food is still the star. Options you just don't see anywhere else. NOTE: popular date spot with cute 2-top tables but DO NOT SIT THERE ALONE as you will feel like a 3rd wheel since they are so close together. Chose the bar.

Pros: Special 'egg roll' burger was extra tasty, Homemade seitan onna stick

Cons: 2 top seats are not good for single dinners

Perfect vibes, long wait

I absolutely adore the staff here, the wait was a bit long however. If you're coming for a chill brunch it shouldn't matter, unfortunately we had somewhere to be.

The food is yummy and creative, albeit a bit more on the pricier side. For the congee I was hoping for more toppings.

Brief stop before RPL book signing

In San Diego for Nisha Vora’s book signing of her new cookbook, “Big Vegan Flavor”.
Stopped in at Kindred based on a neighborhood recommendation of Nisha.
Unique place…in a good way.
Mark and I settled on a dish called “Warlock”.
Drink: “Hidden Wheel”
Just yum!😋

Closes Earlier than Advertised

I arrived at 9:30 pm but they told me the kitchen was closed, hours said until 10pm. Bartender didn't seem to care and wasn't apologetic, and the whole kitchen crew was drinking beers at the bar.

Very good

Interesting menu and just a cool place overall. We were two and ordered some dishes to share. Everything was delicious. The portions are on the smaller side, so you can easily order more than one dish per person.

Brunch!

Looove this spot. The theme is adorable and morbid. Loved my brunch and felt for a vegan spot, prices were pretty good.
