OK but expensive - Edit
Its a concept cafe with 6 cats they are living there. So it would be better to be in cats😄For this reason there are special rools too, like not running fast or open the door. Thats important for the sweet kittys. I found the athmosphere not cosy at all, but thats a question of what you Like. BUT: the big salad I ordered was only green leaves and a bit carrots and paprika and as topping tofu. Boring taste and nothing special like different salads or herbes or... And that all for 10 Euro. Really expensive for nothing. I ate afterwoulds a protein bar I bought before. For me never again.

Delightful and tasty - Edit
Wow what a wonderful meal we had. We each ordered a different burger and then split it so we could try them. The fries are done in an air fryer and are very tasty. We finished off with a chocolate torte and chai latte—both also very good. The cats are delightful and the staff charming. The space is comfortable and quiet. Would highly recommend.

Nice cafe with a good concept - Edit
You can eat there while cats are playing around. Thats pretty interesting. Its nice that the cats are saved. The staff is really nice and they help you if you have any questions.
Read moreThe food has a good quality but is, typical for cities in the south of germany, a bit pricey. For example a piece of cake can cost up to 4,5 € while the portion size isnt huge. But i wasn’t disappointed by the taste so far. If you get cake for takeaway they put it into a recyclable box, which is really nice.
The atmosphere is good aswell and its easy to reach from the mainstation by foot.
Pros: All cakes vegan, Saved cats, Nice people, takeaway boxes made of cardboard
Cons: Pricey

Awesome Experience - Edit
This place is not to be missed! It is a few streets off the main square but worth the meander. I had the best cake I’ve had since being in Germany. I plan to return for scrambled tofu when I haven’t already had lunch. Non-German speakers might be a bit overwhelmed by the signs when you walk into the hallway. Just stop and wait for someone to let you in—a security measure to ensure cats don’t get out. I promise that it is worth it. This place is very cool!

Expensive prices for mediocre dishes - Edit
We went to Café Katzentempel to test their vegan dishes, but we were quite disappointed. The salad was absolutely boring, like the ones you normally get at those non-vegan restaurants. The bread was white and tasted like nothing. The seitan sandwich had a patty which was okay, but the rest of it wasn’t of high quality. When eating out, I want to have something nice, which I don’t get at home. But this was nothing special at all - and on top of it, it was pricey, too. Wouldn’t come back and don’t recommend. There are much better places in Nuremberg to eat out!

super nice place - Edit

Flavourful Food and lovely atmosphere - Edit
I had the Thai Carrot Soup with Bruschetta and it was so tasty I went back the next day for lunch. The bread is AMAZING. My husband had the Bavarian Breakfast both days because he loved it so much. It's served with non-alcoholic beer which I liked a lot. They have lots of vegan cakes that change daily. The only non-vegan thing they have on the menu is regular milk for their drinks, but they do have non-dairy milks for their drinks. And they of course have 5 friendly cats that roam around the cafe.

Wonderful place! - Edit
For me, a combination of cats and vegan food can not be beaten by anything.
Read moreThe cats are veey social unlike in many other similar cafes, and some want to cuddle a lot with visitors.
The food has a homey feel to it, everything is vegan except for cows milk that is ordered separately, so no danger od ordering anything wrong by mistake. Have eaten there 4 times during my visit, so had a chance to sample different dishes. The portions are big, hearty and tasty. They use small ammounts od oil, so I have an impression that the meals are pretty healthy. They had no problems exchanging or omitting ingredients in dishes. Gluten free alteenatives are clearly marked.
All in all, my favourite in Nuremberg!
Support the cats and veganism, pay them a visit if you can.
Pros: Cats, big portions, many tables

I love this place! - Edit
I’ve been here for the third time now during some short visits in Nuremburg. It is a very special cafe because it is homing rescued cats. You can eat yummy vegan food here and play with or just watch the lovely cats at the same time.
Read moreI love cats very much and because I'm engaged with cats professionally I was a little bit worried how stressed or unhappy they might be. But I was positively surprised. All the cats seem very calm, chilled and like their home obviously. If you know cats and are able to read them a little you can tell if they're ok or not. I didn’t see one displeased cat.
The staff is taking good care of them and is making sure you don’t treat them wrong.
The food is very delicious and lovingly prepared. I can 100 % recommend this place!
Pros: The cats are fine and very cute, Delicious Food, Nice interior decoration
Cons: Not 100% vegan (Cow milk for drinks)

Love the cats! (and food) - Edit
The staff is very kind and the menu includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and dessert items. We ate there two days in a row and enjoyed a breakfast plate, summer bowl, pretzel, chia burgers, fries, iced coffee with whipped cream, and cake. The cats are also adorable and are clearly loved.

Excellent food, happy cats, centrally located - Edit
Excellent food, freshly prepared. Cake, salad, sandwich quality cannot be improved any more since maximum quality is achieved. Quite large space (more then 25 seats inside). Cats are super chilled and can leave the room if they are displeased (which they are not). Very clean. Good lemonades. Just a few minutes walk from central train station. Very friendly staff.

Amazing number of vegan offerings in a unique setting - Edit
An extensive and robust vegan. We had the Temple Sandwich with thinly sliced seitan, and authentic-tasting sausage links and tofu scramble. All delicious. The restaurant is cat themed and boasts six cats in the dining area. It is spotless. The whole place is filled with cat-climbing paraphernalia. We do not own cats, but were delighted by the feline experience.

tasty and super cute - Edit
A lovely cafe hidden in a back street, they take a lot of time to explain the rules about the cats (which I think is really great). Everything is vegan other than the fact that they also offer cows milk which I thought was a tad odd but they food is so good! I got a green smoothie (was ready so quickly and so tasty) and the small curry (was super yummy- don't recommend for those who don't like spice though lol). Staff is also very lovely and its obvious that they love the cats! I would 100% recommend this place! (Cash only though)

kind owners and good food - Edit
The store owners and staff are very kind and obviously care about the wellbeing of the six cats living there. Before entering, they tell you how the animals should be treated and the overall gist of the place. The menu has many choices. We ordered a sausage dish and nonalcoholic beer (my husband enjoyed it) and the veggie-burger—it was sooo good. My son shared with me, but also enjoyed the hot chocolate. The place is well kept, the staff is friendly, and the food is pretty good. You can only pay in cash.

Great food with cute cats - Edit
Wolfgang and his team really put a lot of effort in their place.
Read moreIt is a cute little Cafe right downtown Nuremberg.
They serve amazing food! Especially the cake selection is top notch.
Unfortunately, a lot of people, adults and kids, didn't know how to behave, so they had to put up a lot of signs and a lock at the door.
This is no problem at all but shows that they do care for the cats.
They also spend quite some time explaining the house rules to new guests.
For sure a great place to check out! Friendly staff, cute cats and great food!
Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, cats!
Cons: Too many harsh people annoying the cats

I wanted to like it but I just can't! - Edit
The place looks nice, but I have a few issues with it.
Read moreFirst I wonder why would a vegan establishment want to stock and sell cows milk.
Second is the cats.
I love cats more than few other things in life, the ones there seemed ok, but what I disagree with is the fact that they capitalise on them as a mean to get get more people in, resulting in lots of children being left bothering the cats by the parents, sure the cats have means to get away but as far as I could see they were cornered and unable to get away.
Now the food
I'm sure renting in such a central location isn't cheap, but charging over 10 euros for two thin slices of bread with an almost non existent slice of seitan inside and some leaves around seems a bit much, the traditional Bavarian breakfast (I actually asked some Bavarian friends and they all said it's not really it) is a supermarket bought sausage in a broth that you don't drink and a few leaves of salad, again very pricey and mediocre in taste, most other things on the menu were on par regarding prices and portion sizes.
Utterly disappointed, if happy cow would let me give it one star I would
Pros: cats, the place is clean and looks good
Cons: they sell cows milk, very expensive for what it is, cats are exploited to get more people in
