Adorable place - pink and sparkly. Great selection of vegan drinks and pastries. My husband became addicted to their lemon cake, which I will admit was very yummy. This place is small, and fills up fast. There's also cute cat-themed merch available (tshirts, tote bag, postcards, prints, notebooks).

I went there 3 days ago, and it’s not true that everything is vegan. They still have cowmilk in their coffee etc. (Plant milk is an option), they also have non-vegan whipped cream for the cakes (vegan whipped cream is also an option) and I saw a non-vegan sandwich on their menu as well. But I do agree that the food and everything else is great!

We liked the idea of visiting the cat cafe. The vegan toasties sounded good (vegan cheese, avocado, tomato and some kind of sauce) but were a bit disappointing really for the money. Not much filling. Should have stuck with the cakes, of which there were plenty on offer and looked amazing!

Meanwhile it seems everything is vegan in there. The waiter was super nice and relaxed. The selection is small but the quality of the food amazing. The sandwiches are made with sourdough bread and the toppings are of high quality. Our favorite non-sandwhich were the snickers brownies. Will 100% go there again during our stay.

My partner and I both love waffles so even better to discover that the Cat cafe served them! Very tasty with a choice of jam or chocolate sauce. Great space with friendly cats, very clear what the rules are. The menu is vegetarian with most of the menu being vegan too, clearly labelled what is what.

I loved it here. It's pretty much fully vegan but also offers cows milk on request so not quite. The vegan mint hot chocolate was amazing and there was loads of choices for fancy hot drinks. The sandwiches were both nice and I loved the Snickers brownie. Really nice having the cats come and sit with you while you eat.

I ordered the sourdough toast which came with either vegan mozzarella or cheddar, so close the latter. Was expecting cheese on toast, but it was basically just toast and sliced cheese from a packet. Tasted fine but a bit basic considering its billing on the menu, also had a peanut snickers type dessert, which was lovely. They also do things like vegan chocolate waffles, and focus is definitely more on sweet things - with a limited savoury snacks. I didn’t feel it was very welcoming, and - apart from the cats - didn’t have much charm - not the sort of place you could linger.

We had brunch here twice while in Reykjavik and I wish we had stayed longer so we could have come here even more often! The lemon cake is to die for and I wish I had the recipe for the chocolate chip cookies, pretty sure they are the best I've ever had. And the cats are so comfortable there! They will take up the most comfortable seat, try and see what's in your purse or play with whatever is dangling from a chair back rest. Lovely interior, 2 tiny tables outside. It's such a special place, we loved it. From what I gathered, they also have an adoption program for cats. Awesome place.

Almost all (maybe all?) of the food is vegan- cupcakes, brownies, cake, other small desserts, and a few sandwich options. Also has a full coffee menu with multiple alternative milks. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Plus, CATS.

Craft coffee with paw prints, purrrfect vegan food (cupcakes, parfaits), and playful adoptable kitties running around - what a treat! This was our first time to a cat cafe and we loved it. We love how well the Kattakaffihusid team takes care of their rescue kitties and how much love they put into making delicious vegan food for people to enjoy at their cafe. The chandeliers and beautiful paintings made me feel like a child in a story book. Nearly fully vegan (ask the team). This is a very cute small cat cafe located centrally in Reykjavik. I had a chocolate brownie, toasted sourdough bread with vegan chocolate spread and a chai latte with oat milk. They have oat and soya milk as plant alternatives for hot drinks, and all the sweets were vegan except the macaroons I think. They had many sweets and desserts to choose from! They also had avocado and vegan cheese option for the bread. The cats are very cute, and apparently they have rehomed over 30 cats.
