Great place for an afternoon tea and cakes!

As said, it's perfect for a cuppa and cakes in the arvo. They have a couple of sandwiches, as well as an avocado on toast, which was tasty, but a bit simple and disappointing compared to the avo on toast I got used to eating in Melbourne. But the cakes are amazing, so I'll definitely be back! The place is also very cosy and peaceful.

Pros: Almost all vegan, Wide choice of cakes, Cute cats

Cons: Avo in toast too simple for lunch/brunch, On the expensive side

(almost) Vegan kitty cat cafe!

This place is so cute, and so much fun. When you enter, make sure to close the gate behind you so the cats don’t get out! The cafe features cats up for adoption. You can play with the cats while you wait for your order. It’s so chill.

We ordered the avocado, cheese, and tomato sandwich and the toast with pesto and vegan mozzarella. The pesto seems to have walnuts and/or sunflower seeds. Totally yum. Both served on sourdough bread freshly baked from a nearby bakery. A little pricey, but it’s hard to say whether it’s normal Iceland prices, or if this place is more expensive by Iceland’s standards.

It should be noted that the place is not totally vegan. It was maybe 98%. There were one or two desserts in the display that were vegetarian, but not vegan. Also, when we asked the clerk whether everything was vegan, she said she had non-vegan cheese and milk if requested.

We wanted to try the tiramisu, but were too full after our meal. Will try next time.

Pros: Kitty cats!, Extensive Vegan menu

Cons: Expensive (normal for Iceland?)

(Almost) vegan rescue cat cafe!

LOVE this place. We visited twice, the first time being our first stop in Reykjavík! We had vegan toasties on both occasions, and both were delicious. Particularly enjoyed the cheese, avocado and chipotle mayo. Great range of vegan food on offer and only non-vegan option are the macaroons. This cat cafe works in the best way for the cats, as all are in the cafe to be adopted, and there are only four or five at a time. Staff are wonderful and clearly devoted to the cats and finding their forever homes. As if you needed more reasons to visit this place, the cafe is gorgeous with plants and wonderful decor. If only all cat cafes were like this one.

Pros: Rescue cats up for adoption, Delicious vegan food, Wonderful staff

The cutest

So good we came twice! honestly the vegan cakes are some of the best I’ve ever had! The banana bread, lemon cake and salted caramel cupcake were out of this world! Toasties were also amazing, and of course the cats are unbelievably sweet!

Cons: Very busy and crowded

Sweet cats

The place was to crowded and loud for my taste. Mainly parents with children were visiting and only limited amount of seats available. The cats seemed relaxed though. Drinks and cake were good.

One of my favorites

This little cafe is a welcoming and adorable place to relax with some furry friends. The food is mostly vegan with some vegetarian options, the cakes are divine and the coffee is great! The resident cats are relaxed and happy and the staff seems to care very well for them. They are also up for adoption and new cats are introduced regularly. I love going there with my kids!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Cats!, Nice location
