They have a little stall outside which sells two vegan icecream flavours, matcha and plant based milk (its made with rice). The icecream literally saved my day because i was so sad i couldnt find a vegan dessert at shinsekai street

Solid udon dishes (also gluten-free) - Edit
They offer many different combinations of udon or soba (gluten-free noodles) with/without soup/ramen. And it's open early so we went there multiple times for breakfast 😄 you can sit outside (although next to a big street so it's pretty noisy) and the staff is super friendly.

We stopped here for lunch after arriving in Osaka. They have a separate vegan menu and also do soy milk for coffees. I got the hot udon noodles, tofu tempura and dessert dumplings with soy cream and brown sugar. Everything was great! The noodle broth was tasty (wasn't like drinking seawater like other kelp-based broths I've had) and the service was really quick and friendly.

Read moreIn the area where I’m staying at, there were no vegan places that opened till late in the night.
This place saved me. The Mushroom Soba is delicious and the stuff super friendly.
If you need somewhere to go past 9 pm, this is the place for you.

Restaurant is small, with only a few seats—staff was very kind and friendly. There is a nice selection of ramen/udon on their menu, with vegan options for ramen and udon, as well as eggplant sashimi. I ordered the vegan ramen, it was delicious. Prices were overall pretty reasonable. Would recommend to others looking for a vegan or vegetarian option in Osaka.
