Food to warm the vegan soul - Edit
I ordered takeaway and it was the best vegan cuisine I have tasted in a very long time! I ordered Tofu Pakora, Tempeh do piaza, Peshwari Naan and Peshwari Rice (I went crazy with peshwari) and I regret nothing! It was so wondeful to have Naan bread and Pakora again (not often vegan). And the portion sizes were very generous (leftovers for days!) I was very happy and good Karma all round for this cafe!

What a find.... - Edit
Spur of the moment date night last year to the theatre and we chose here, via happy cow, for our food beforehand. The service was great, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the food absolutely delicious. Best dips I’ve tasted vegan or otherwise. Naan bread was a taste sensation. We have since been back as a larger group and as a couple for the happy hour tonight - always delicious and great value for money. Can’t wait to go back and try the thali deals.

Entirely vegan Indian restaurant - Edit
This has a lovely home cooking Punjabi feel to it. First floor restaurant in central Newcastle. Modern decor and friendly staff in a popular place. Extensive menu and a good variety. I delighted in a starter with their thali deal before skipping across the road to the opera. I’ll be back.

Lookin' for soul food and a place to eat - Edit
Very pleased to get here during its first week of opening as a restaurant in November 2018. Whilst still finding it’s feet, the place was packed out on the inaugural Saturday night. We had tofu pakora to start followed by the legendary seitan madras and a vegetable korma as main courses. Both extremely enjoyable and flavoursome dishes. There were lashings of rice, beer, wine and water as well as great company. A return visit in January 2019 for the £10pp Thali sharing deal followed by a fabulous takeaway experience in October of the same year has prompted me to revisit my original review and knock it another cow up to the max. I’d fully recommend the pickle tray with popadoms and world class onion bhajjs by the way.

Delicious food and great value - Edit
We really enjoyed our meal at Karma - the curry was delicious, freshly cooked and healthy. The naan bread was fresh and fluffy and simply the best I’ve ever had! They also had homemade kombucha😄Also, the lady who served us was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I would really recommend this place!

We had the Thali for Two, which was great value. The Dal and the Seitan Bhuna were our favorite, absolutely delicious! The owner came and spoke to us after, she was lovely and friendly too. Nice restaurant and food.

Curry that will make you appreciate plants more! - Edit
I loved the food here, it's so lovely to be able to order from such a big menu and not have to worry about what I can and can't eat! I got the Makhani Tofu Curry, and my husband got the South Indian Kattal Curry with Jackfruit, we also got Peshwari naan, onion rice and a pickle tray to share. You can tell the food is made with such love and care, everything I tried was a total joy to eat. The curry is so rich and creamy that by eating it you appreciate just how wonderful plants are. They also have a super nifty ”spice health” section on their website, so you can see all of the health benefits of the food you're eating!

I can't wait to come back for their thali for a tenner through the week, they also do desserts, I spied tiramisu but we were way to full to get it.
.
The cafe is also family friendly, we were supplied with a highchair on arrival and all of the staff (even the busy kitchen staff!) said hello and made us feel really welcome.
Pros: Diverse range of dishes, Family Friendly , Friendly staff
Cons: Not open for lunch on weekdays

Delicious - Edit
Everything we got was delicious. We had a fantastic bottle of red wine which was only £12!! We order aloo Gobi, chana nasal, fried onions starter, naan, roti, rice, and 2 desserts. Not one thing was disappointing. We enjoyed every bit of it. Normally we didn't get desserts when we eat out. When we asked for the desert menu we were just curious about what they had on offer and we ended splitting the mixer berry cheesecake and the almond cherry cake (my favorite).
Read moreAs someone with a peanut allergy it was so nice to be in a place where they don't have any peanuts in the kitchen whatsoever. It's a rarity when I can sit down at a restaurant and truly order anything on the menu without concern.
They also offer takeaway which seemed to be the preferred method for enjoying their food as we were the only people dining in for the majority of the time.
We will definitely be back and we may choose to try out the takeaway option.
Pros: Quality of food, Service, Price
Cons: Atmosphere

Lovely staff & wonderful vegan curry - Edit
Came to Newcastle for a conference. Picked Karma kitchen because it was near the hotel and looked ok. Couldn’t be happier the staff were lovely and really helpful, and the food was incredible. Left feeling stuff, happy and with advice on where else to try if we had the chance while we were in Newcastle.

Delicious healthy food! - Edit
The food here was wonderful. It's all vegan, including the naan bread, which was so light and fluffy and delicious.
Read moreI chose the Thali dishes of Rongi (black eyed beans) and Achari TVP, as I'd never had either before. They were both really good and I was delighted to have discovered delicious new tastes.
My meal was a bargain too. I was dining alone, and they very kindly only charged me £10 for 2 Thali dishes, with rice and naan, even though the special offer was for 2 people sharing. That was so kind of them, and they really seemed like lovely people.
It seems like healthy and natural food here, I didn't see any alarming red food colouring or anything of that nature.
The menu has a great range and hopefully I will be back to work my way through it!
Pros: Delicious healthy food, Great choice, Unusual dishes
Cons: Upstairs so mobility access would be tricky

Unbelievable vegan choice - Edit
Had the most amazing meal delivered to Whitley Bay! I’ve not been able to have masala, korma or a naan bread since turning vegan so this was such a treat. The tofu tikka masala was unbelievable. Highly recommend!

Can’t rave about this enough. EVERYTHING you ever wanted vegan - peshwari naan!! Korma! It’s heaven. GO HERE. The only negative is it ruins other Indian meals for you - now when I’m in London and get an Indian takeaway I just dream of Karma Kitchen!

Thali - Edit
Stopped in on the last day of January with Hack Man to make the most of their veganuary deal.

Nice restaurant with nice staff.
Great naan and all four curries were great but not exceptional. Plenty of healthy choices.
