Nice veg-friendly bakery

The bakery has some savory and sweet vegan items, which are quite good as well as coffee with oat drink. But as of September 2025, they also have meat-based sandwiches such as turkey. So they are actually not vegetarian, as stated here.

Pros: a few savory and sweet vegan items

Cons: wrongly categorised as 'vegetarian'

yayyy

Es ist etwas teuer, aber daher alles Bio ist, macht sich der Preis wert. Super lecker. die Schoko Kirsch Küchlein sind besonders gut und das vegane Croissant kann ich auch nur empfehlen😄
mein besuch war jedoch schon etwas länger her. 15.04 rum

Great cakes, breads, and pasties

Everything they make is special but I am particularly fond of the walnut roll

Great bread, terrific sweets!

Kaiser is a very good (but not very cheap) small bakery chain. Everything they sell is organic and also they label their vegan items very clearly with a dark green dot on the respective item description. German bread is usually vegan but unfortunately Kaiser uses honey in many breads. But they do have some vegan ones and they are absolutely great and keep fresh for at least a week.

The best part are the sweets though: Make sure to buy some Walnusswecken (Walnut bread rolls), Cranberry cookies or one of their vegan spelt cakes. These are probably the best vegan sweet bakery goods you can buy in Mainz!

Pros: All organic, Vegan items clearly marked, Very good sweets

Cons: Uses honey in many breads
