Limited options - Edit
Vegan okonomiyaki was okay. Seemed there were only two options available on the vegan/veggie menu.

Vegan option sold out - Edit
Tried to go here on a Friday lunchtime, shortly after it opened for the day. Unfortunately the vegan option was sold out, and the staff told us that they couldn't alter any of their other options to make them vegetarian-friendly. Shame, as the ambience seemed great!

Vegan Okonomiyaki!! - Edit
Superb small venue with a big personality!n
Read moreThe okonomiyaki is cooked in front of you - so we can also say we have experienced 'teppanyaki' as well!!
One of our favourite vegan eats in Japan. The staff understood we were vegan and kindly helped us cook our meal in front of us - so so tasty and we could accompany our dish with the usual sauces to our taste (it doesn't need flavouring).
We were so happy to have literally stumbled across this (stayed at Apa Namba Tower a few mins walk).
We thoroughly recommend if you are vegan and want to try okonomiyaki to visit here (no booking needed, we were here at 6pm and waited outside 10min after a check-in with a machine next to their front desk).
We are only allowed to give 4* as HappyCow won't allow 5* if a venue is not exclusively vegan/veggie etc. but we would give this 5* if we could!! Superb.
Pros: Okonomiyaki, Food, Location

Very good Vegan Okonomiyaki - Edit
Very tasty vegan Okonomiyaki! They serve it to you in a bowl and then you can prepare it yourself on the table grill. If someone in your group eats meet, it’s cooked on the same grill.

From their website;
“ […] Vegan okonomiyaki, which uses rice flour for the dough, is healthy and full of satisfaction. The chewy dough is full of vegetables, and the sauce is also VEGAN […]”

Vegan Okonomiyaki - Edit
Restaurant serving traditional Japanese meat/fish dishes specialising in okonomiyaki. They offer a vegan okonomiyaki which was signposted outside. Provided with a separate sauce and vegan add ons including tofu and different veges. Staff were super friendly and were able to communicate the vegan items.

Pros: Delicious okonomiyaki, Friendly staff, Well signposted vegan items
