Excellent vegan Kafé with artisanal pastries, sandwiches, and salad. Don’t forget about the smoothies and Kafé! Happy to be close to this place, we’ll be here often while we visit. Chef was very personable and happy to offer suggestions for other vegan restaurants in the area to try.

This friendly and central café has really good food for breakfast and/or lunch. I had the walnut pesto sandwich with avocado, and it was very yummy. They had lots of cake too, but I was too full for trying any... 😢 Very friendly staff too!

Main reason we went here is that is was close to our hotel, but we were so pleasantly surprised by the food that we came back to try some more things. I love that they offer some vegan chocolates and candies too

A surprising disappoiment.. - Edit
We tried their seitan ramen, and I'm sorry to say that we thought it was a huge disappointment. With their high score I had expected something nice.
Read moreIm used to eating ramen from earlier, and this tasted nothing like any ramen I had before. I believe it's better not to try explain what was wrong, I'm just shocked how this could be a good representation of their restaurant. So i choose to believe that this is not their general quality of their food, maybe someone did a mistake in this preparation?
Anyways we did not have time for asking the restaurant about this as we had extremely short time.
I do hope they serve nice food at this place too, since having vegan restaurants is a very positive thing in our society.
I actually wanted to put 1 star only, but the app did not allow me to.

I don't know when you ate the tempeh ramen, but shortly after introducing it we decided to make a bunch of changes as we weren't completely happy with the result. Still, that's no excuse for your subpar meal, but I do hope this was the reason.
I can sincerely and whole-heartedly recommend to you and anyone reading this to always talk to your server / the restaurant (not just ours, but any). That way we can: fix the problem, offer you a new dish, give you a free dessert or even give you your money back. (It's kind of like "I didn't take the time to talk to them personally about the problem. but I wanna tell the whole world they suck.) Now, you had a bad meal, we are stuck with a bad review and all all I can do is apologize.
Anyway, we do appreciate that you believe this is NOT a proper representation of our food - because as you also mention, we have very good reviews overall.
If you are ever in the neighborhood again - come by and we'll treat you to a tasty meal.

It's a nice place to have lunch or coffee in the centre of Stockholm. The place is located on the bottom floor of Kulturhuset. If you don't find it on the first try, keep looking - it's worth the trouble!

When our average is 4.5 stars, this really hurts our overall rating.
During the summer months there is outdoor seating in the central square, called "Plattan". And we try to make our little space as cozy as we can for the rest of Sweden's cold dark, year :)
Perhaps you could consider adjusting your score while at the same time expressing your opinion about take away being the best option when it's warm out?

This convenient little cafe in the Kulturhus is probably the most convenient lunch spot in sthlm , particularly if you want to go to the theatre afterwards! Great wrangle of wraps, sandwiches and warm bowls. I’ve had the hoisin duck wrap before which was delicious. This time I had the roasted red pepper soup with pizza slices and a semla for desert. Hands down best Selma in town - soft and moist and a deliciously crunchy mandelmassa in the middle! You need to try it!

Interesting location but the food was soo good!! I got the chickn teriyaki sandwich the first time I went and then the walnut pesto sandwich the second time and both were wonderfully grilled and amazingly tasty! Coffee was good too! The man there was so kind and friendly the last time I went! The pastries looked so good, I wish I tried the passionfruit cheesecake because it looked incredible but I was too full

I loved that this café was fully vegan and that the menu included options made with a Swedish plant-based fish company, which struck me as original. They also serve sweets, such as chocolate balls, and espresso drinks. Besides the food, my favorite part about this place is its location on the bottom floor of the Kulturhuset, right downstairs from libraries, exhibitions, and even a movie theater. It’s a great place to pass an afternoon in Stockholm.

Good question. That makes it a lot trickier indeed. Don't know whether it is allowed to put some decorations on the tables, cushions, etc? (I have to think hard how it was). Perhaps some hanging plants over the counter? Colour in the counter?

Kafé Plattan is a 100% vegan café with a great selection of wraps, main meals, cakes, sodas and coffees. We had lunch here with a plant-based friend, and all that we ordered was super tasty (cauliflower wrap, meatballs and mash, oatmylk latte).

We came here multiple times during our Stockholm trip and we truly had the best experience! Everything here is vegan and so so delicious! The warm dishes change throughout the week, so it’s worth coming back the next day! We first had sandwiches, walnut pesto (with mozzarella) & tofu banh mi (with kimchi & coleslaw). The second time we had a quiche and kimchi burger, both came with green and potato salad. Truly amazing place!
