Great food (if you can get a table!) - Edit
The first night when we went there around 6.30pm or so there was probably between a 60 and 90 minute wait so we quickly abandoned that idea. We tried again the following night at 8.30pm and there was no wait!!!
Read moreGreat food: we got the miso with rice, karaage with mayo, shiitake mushrooms and gyoza and they were all amazing. Lovely beer as well. And they also do ice cream for dessert (matcha and coconut options) which was also tasty.
The one warning I’ll have for people is that the bar next door was very, very loud! There is very little separating this restaurant from the bar so it was as if we were in there. I thought it was hilarious as there was a Drag Queen shouting into a speaker every time someone took a drink of sake, but my wife and almost everyone else in the restaurant weren’t amused (I suspect that might be part of the reason there wasn’t a wait). So if someone suffers from sensory overstimulation it’s something to be mindful of.

Nice place - Edit
The food is very nice, all was tasty. It has not the real vibe of an izakaya around the corner but that’s okay. All is vegan, staff is friendly and the price is alright.

Amazing food! - Edit
I've been here several times in my previous Japan trips but I don't know why I didn't review it before.

What can I say, not only is this place fully vegan, which is already uncommon in Japan, but there are plenty of options and all the ones I tried were really good.
Unfortunately, when I came back to eat here during my last day in Japan, most options were sold out (even the gyoza that I wanted to eat again so bad!). This is the only time that happened to me though.
Highly recommend!
Pros: Fully vegan, Many dishes to choose from
Cons: Some dishes might be sold out

Try the Chinese tofu - Edit
Cute place in the basement of a mall. Clearly labelled vegan. Everything is vegan here. Most will come for the karaage and the deep fried maitake mushrooms but the stand out dish for us was the Chinese tofu. Served cold but packed with flavour, it’s only one to miss if you don’t like spice.

The wait time was well over an hour to be seated, however this was at 6pm we first put our name down and the restaurant seating area is small.

Pretty Good - Edit
I'm sure some people love this place, but I'm not a big fan of cold silken tofu, which is what they serve. I also didn't care for the karage texture. That said, I liked the dumplings and the busy izakaya vibe was cool.
