Vegetarian — but not very vegan - Edit
Among the seemingly countless South Asian restaurants in the Toronto suburb of Scarborough are probably dozens of vegetarian ones. We were in the area and gave this one a shot based on someone's recent Facebook post.

Despite the extensive menu, almost nothing on it was vegan. On the plus side, the server had a list on her phone of all the vegan options; on the minus side, it was a very short list. Even typical standbys like channa masala, eggplant curry (bagara baingan) or samosas were out, although surprisingly the "creamy" lentil dal was okay.
That said, what we did order (the dal tadka, aloo gobi, and kadai mushroom curry) was quite appetizing, and nicely spiced (i.e. keep the water refills coming).

Went there for my friends birthday! Order a bunch of things on the menu! Everything was good, and spicy! They have a big Jain menu!

Great authentic Indian vegetarian food - Edit
Enjoyed authentic Indian vegetarian food (vegan options available). Great decor and ambience and very fast service. Please make sure to make reservations on weekends!
