The Dragon Tan Tan Men was the standout for me — creamy tantan sesame broth with rye noodles, fried tofu, an umami-forward miso “bolognese,” scallions, and Sichuan pepper chili oil. Rich, comforting, and well-balanced with a gentle heat.
Read moreI also enjoyed both eggplant appetizers: the Kyoto Miso Eggplant Tempura (savory and cozy) and the Japanese Pepper Eggplant Tempura (lighter, crispier, with a subtle kick).
Friendly note: this location is now flexitarian, and it’s clearly stated on the sign outside. It’s not a fully vegan restaurant, but they do offer thoughtful, well-executed vegan options.

Ippudo V has a pretty big menu, but I went with a large group so we got to try a lot of things. We tried a few of the sushi rolls (I don’t recall the names), and our favorites were the ones with tempura. The only one I didn’t love had kind of a salsa/tomato-forward vibe (I think it was the volcano).

They don’t take reservations, and it can get crowded with mostly family style seating, so be prepared to wait a bit if you come at a peak time. It was also pretty pricy, but the flavors were spectacular.

It WAS a good vegan find. The food was delicious. Only 4 stars. People are saying it’s not vegan any longer so I won’t be visiting there anymore.

They have added chicken and other meat items to the menu. It is not labeled and misleading. When asked they said they added meat to the menu because they don’t have enough vegan customers. They still have many vegan options. Still, won’t go back

Delicious! the best Tuna - Edit
Service was great. We got the dragon ramen(onion galore), gyoza with the 3 sauces, the green sauce was the best, the Mario roll(the mushrooms were perfectly fried), and the Matilda roll with the "tuna". All tasted great and I liked the spicy furikake. Also, the sherbet with yuzu and Sake (non alcoholic), the strawberry was my favorite 🤤. I don't like sherbet and I liked this one and it wasn't too sweet with real chunks of berry. Vegan food was clearly labeled and I didn't feel I was missing out on anything. Also they knew to tell us all the ingredients and knew what vegan is.

All vegan restaurant serving amazing food. We got the Brussels sprouts, gyoza, platon ramen and a hot tea. Loved all of them. Would have liked the Roman to be spicy, but I think you may have to ask for that will be back here for sure.

Best vegan ramen I've ever had! The tonkotsu broth was so rich and flavorful and the pride "pork" gyoza and "tuna" sushi was a must try! Service was incredible as well, I got my food within 5 minutes. Will definitely be coming back!
