You order off the machine right by the entrance (easy to miss, it’s right by the door you come in through) and give your ticket to a member of staff.

The machine is in English but doesn’t describe the meals in detail, just the general name. Only one plant-based option and little customisation was available (compared with the meat options).
The ramen was pretty good. It took longer to arrive than my meat-eater partner’s ramen (but not too long), so I guess there’s less turnover of these meals.
The restaurant itself is down a flight of stairs, so not very accessible if you struggle with stairs.
Pros: English menu and ticket system, Plant-based meal
Cons: Venue not very accessible , Just one vegan option and little customisation

Vegan Ramen was very good. Price was low. You order at a machine, you can switch language to english. Vegan meal was clearly labeled. Meal size was also good.

The vegan Ramen was amazing, and comparably cheap for Kyoto. Can definitely recommend going there! Be aware there are other Ippudo locations in Kyoto but this is the only one that offers the plant based Ramen.
