Only one option at this famous ramen chain, but that's one more than others are offering so I'm grateful. The flavour of the broth is excellent, creamy, garlicy and oily, just like standard ramen. A bit let down by the tofu cutlet which lacked substance and flavour but the whole dish was very good overall.
Read moreAs someone who lives in Japan, I can't afford to eat out at fully vegan places often as the price is often double what it is in these kinds of places. So I'm glad that they exist and they introduce Japanese people to vegan options too.
Pros: Excellent broth, Affordable, Convenient and quick

One vegan option, clearly labeled and also advertised outside. Since it's a chain restaurant, we went in not expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised! Staff was friendly and helpful. The venue isn't too big so they might have a harder time accommodating bigger groups.

Read moreThere is a ticket machine and it's a simple matter to select your meal and beverage, and to pay. This cozy place offers counters for individual diners, tables for two by the kitchen, and larger table in a connecting room.
The vegan ramen is amazing! The base is rich and creamy, the ramen cooked perfectly and loads of mushrooms and green onions, with a bit of a chili kick! Goes great with a cold beer!!
This is not an exclusively vegan place so it might not suit all diners.

Read moreWe also tried the new mazemen they started this October. They were not bad but a bit too salty and I don't get why there's granola as a side. Sometimes I think in Japan shops who offer vegan options don't understand the plantbased diet. Things are thrown together randomly and often lack protein.😒But at least they are trying so 4 stars.

You order off the machine right by the entrance (easy to miss, it’s right by the door you come in through) and give your ticket to a member of staff.

The machine is in English but doesn’t describe the meals in detail, just the general name. Only one plant-based option and little customisation was available (compared with the meat options).
The ramen was pretty good. It took longer to arrive than my meat-eater partner’s ramen (but not too long), so I guess there’s less turnover of these meals.
The restaurant itself is down a flight of stairs, so not very accessible if you struggle with stairs.
