Icarus and Apollo

I visited their caravan at a local vegan event, they were offering takeaway hot dogs and toasties, a soup and some hot drinks. I had the smoky hot dogs which were around £4.50 for two. Nice crunchy onions on top and tangy BBQ sauce. However, I have seen them offering a more creative menu before so was a bit disappointed in the limited options today.

Amazing options and tasty food

We hired Icarus and Apollo for my daughter’s birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. My favourite was the peanut curry but everything was amazing . Vegans and non vegans alike all enjoyed the food. We got masses of compliments about it. Highly recommend. Xx

Visited their pop up at the Village Screen outdoor cinema. I actually bought from another vendor but my friends got the vegan nachos from here which, I had some and they were incredible😍Very generously loaded and full of flavour!

Finally!

I'd missed out on Icarus and Apollo a few times before so when I saw they'd be at Union Street, I put it in my calendar so I wouldn't forget!
I had their West African Peanut Stew and it was delicious. I am definitely going to try their other dishes too.

Great food!

Such a cute caravan which travels around and pops up at different events! The food is always lovely, particularly the peanut curry (!) and Holly is super friendly - would definitely recommend dropping by if you spot them at an event😄

Great food!

We visited the Icarus and Apollo caravan (which is so cute and cheery, and all covered in bunting) at the Victoria Quays Market. We both had the falafel wraps. Very tasty. Great falafel. Keen to try more of their food sometime soon.

A disappointing few meals here

We’ve tried Icarus and Apollo a few times over the past few years, always open to given it another go because of it’s friendly approach and veggie commitment. Unfortunately the food has never moved beyond average at best, and sometimes disappointing, once coming differently to the way described on the menu.

WOWZA

I've recently become Vegan and decided to give this place a whirl, I was not disappointed at all, the food was delicious and filling, everything has that homely touch which makes it feel all the more special, this place is an instant hit and a new favourite, can't wait to treat myself to another takeaway! ❤️

Great takeaway

We had a takeaway from here last night and it was fantastic - great value, delicious food and will definitely be ordering again. Very flavourful and exciting options - particularly the waffadillas! Would also be excited to visit in person once lockdown is over

Pros: All vegetarian and most things can be vegan

Lovely little lunch spot

Since being back in the office around the corner from the Icarus and Apollo van, I have to restrain myself from popping over every day! I've had wraps, pita and smoothies so far whilst sat outside their van in the sunshine. Can't wait to see their finished Steel Yard home.

Pros: Delicious lunch options, both veggie and vegan, Lovely decor
