Great falafel

Had the falafel main, 10 falafel, hummus and chips and bread. The best part was the crispy cauliflower, delicious!

Pros: Good vegan options, Good price, Quick service

What I was hoping for

Good option if you want to eat something tasty and affordable. We received our meals quickly and all at the same time. Very generous portion sizes and (thankfully) they gave us plenty of pita bread; you probably won’t have to ask for more. Quite a large restaurant, isn’t the coziest, but does what it needs to do. A great place for larger groups and saw many families with young children too.

Pros: Quick, Affordable , Large portions

Pretty good, inexpensive

Good option if you want some filling food for a reasonable price. The falafel wraps were very tasty, the fries were also home-made and pretty good. There was also a vegan dessert which was quite good too.

Pros: Inexpensive, tasty options, Good location, Helpful staff

Decent place where everything is prepared and available very quickly.

We had a mixture of felafel, hummus, fries and tabouleh. #Veganuary

Pros: Very quick , Tasty bread and hummus, Fills a hole

Cons: I’ve had better falafel, Fries appear redipped in hot oil to be heated up

HUMMUS

If you love hummus as much as I do, this is your place. The portions are huge, the prices are great and the staff is really nice. I got the falafel & salad and I couldn’t finish it but it was lovely

Bowls of hummus

A must during a visit to Budapest, if you like hummus. Many variations and inexpensive extras. One order of hummus is enough for at least two people.

Pros: Cheap

Delicious Hummus

Although it is not a vegan place, I think it is one of the best places to eat in Budapest as a vegan. We tried two of their hummus plates and we loved both of them, I especially liked the tahini sauce that they add on top. All the hummus plates come with bread which was delicious too.

HummusIsSexy

A lot of hummus and falafel on the menu. It is a chain restaurant, but this doesn't affect the quality. We had a delicious dipping plate for starters and then a pita afterwards. Yum yum!

Philosophie of Hummus

Indeed, the atmosphere is not cozy, it's more like in fast food restaurant but we enjoyed very much reading the philosophie of hummus (written on the wall) and looking how the cooks prepare food.

When we tasted first mouthful, it was not only tasty but we could feel that they use fresh ingredients. Their housemade beverages are recommendable!

Good food

They have quite enough of vegan options. The Food itself was good, but we didn’t like the bread it didn’t taste fresh. Staff was very friendly and professional. The restaurant is spacious with many seats but unfortunately it was not very clean.

Best falafels and laffa

This particular Hummusbar location has been the first I've visited and ever since also most visited. It is the only restaurant where you can get that superdelicious laffabread that really makes what Hummusbar is all about. Thinking about dipping that fluffy goodness into hummus and tahini makes my mouth water.

Other than that they got the normal stuff like the best falafels I've ever eaten, great fresh salsa to go with them and all vegan options are clearly marked with blue on the menu.

Would give 5 stars but it won't let me as they are not a fully vegan restaurant.

Pros: Laffa bread only at this location, best falafels

Great value for money

Welcomed in by very attentive staff and offered a free glass of delicious homemade ice tea. Great tasting laffas and filling meals. Would of been nice if there were options for seasoned hummus as it alone was quite bland.

Pros: Friendly, attentive waiters, Food arrived fast, Good prices

Great place to eat with non-veg friends

This centrally located restaurant offers a variety of mostly Middle Eastern style food for all types of diet (V, VG, meat eaters).

Their falafel is one of the bests in the city. They usually bring a big amount of pita bread with the mains, so I usually ask them to bring half of the amount.

Pros: A variety of great food (non-veg, V, VG), Offers complimentary mint tea, Falafel is not dry and is tasty!

Cons: Can be crowded at lunchtime on weekdays

Nice hummus

Well marked menu both for vegetarians and with allergy, so easy to single out the vegan items.

But the food was very blend and it tasted more or less the same. Oily. Hummus was nice.

Pros: Several vegan options, Allergy friendly menu

Cons: Falafels contain gluten, Quite noicy place

Good portions

We very much enjoyed eating here. A lot of the hummus dishes are vegan. This place is also child friendly as they offer a vegan kids menu with falafel and a choice of rice, fries etc.

All the portions were big enough and we left with a full stomach. Well priced too.

Pros: enough vegan options
